I think this campaign is a great representation that we; the players of CoH, are more than just heroes in a virtual game, but are heroes in the real world as well.

The monetary difference is from offline donations which have not been added yet to the dashboard total but are indicative of our grand total at this moment!

Only $11 from my goal and I've got 4 people who have told me they would make small donations, so I'm pretty sure I'll make it.

I made sure I have 4 of my characters all IO'd out and ready for their runs to 50 (Or as far as they can go anyway.) This is going to be great.  ;D

If we had $1 more for every Hero in Leandro's Unity Rally Video (3700 heroes), we would be breathing down the neck of the #10 team.

If the a large part of the VIPs in the Unity Rally donated their OCT $15 VIP dues (that they aren't being charged in Oct or Nov)... say 2000 VIPs? --  $30, 000 we would be number 2 and in striking distance of #1. (even at $10 we would be #2)

That's without considering the amount of Rally folks on Freedom and spillover into the other servers... and without considering donating Nov VIP payment.

Going to try and get some donations for this in the next couple days even though there's a 99% chance I won't be able to play at all this weekend.

Question about donations though... when other people donate to you and you're collecting money to donate yourself, instead of sending them to the website (in the case of people who don't like online finance, or may forget it if they don't donate when asked, or your grandmother who doesn't even have internet), how do you handle the tax deductions, receipts, etc?

Team CoH is currently ranked #18 out of 2129 teams for the Extra Life Charity campaign with a total of $5,828.33 in donations!!!!!!


Saturday 10/20 will be the 24 hour gaming marathon which means people still have a few days left to sign up to participate or to donate to a team member.


Extra Life 4 Kids raises money for various Children's Miracle Network Hospitals across the world. These hospitals treat millions of children every year and the monies raised help  offset their costs for treatment for cancer, birth defects, etc.


I am asking you to please be a hero to a child in need. All donations are great donations - there is no such thing as too small of a donation...EVERY dollar raised is one more dollar that can help a child and their family.

Not having a lot of new donations on my front, but I'm all geared up and psyched up to do the run this week end anyway.


For those who wish to run with me, I will be running on Virtue, starting in AP33. My character name will be 7 Stars of Virtue. My Global handle is @Hawthorne Grimm. Send me a tell once my run starts and I'd be happy to have company for my 24 hour odyssey. :)

A friend and I will be running every hero side TF on Freedom. He is also in the Extra Life campaign. Look me up...we can always use another player :) @I Burnt The Toast. I will be on beginning at 8AM EST.


(Yes we will be doing the Shard TFs which I have... NEVER...done!).

Not a lot of donations on my end either, but all the same, who cares if it was a dollar or a million.  Every little bit helps. :)

I'll be running on Freedom on my main Obsidian Light (@Obsidian Light), if anyone wishes to join me there. If there's a #TeamExtraLife group up at some point or another, don't hesitate to get ahold of me and pull me to wherever everyone is, only picked Freedom because it's home and my bucket list toon is there. :)
