After playing TSW issue 12, if possible when the game comes back, CoX needs to have a similar daily/weekly reward system. It actually makes grinding fun xD

It had several "every 20 hours" rewards via the Incarnate System, that's effectively a daily reward system.

What TSW did was give you five daily rewards for running certain kind of missions, in CoX translation, it could be the following:

Daily

Run 1 Ouroboros story Arc - Receive x amount of Merits

Run any TF - Receive x amount of Merits

Run any Incarnate Raid - Receive x amount of Merits

Participate in some kind of PvP, you don't have to win (TSW always has this one a standard daily) - Receive - amount of Merits

Run 10 missions of any kind - Receive x amount of merits

Then on top of that, they had weekly that rewards:

Weekly

Complete 10 TF - Receive x amount merrits + 1 Hero/Villian Merit (if your not pure, then you will just get additional Merits)

Win X Amount of PvP Events - Receive x amount merrits + 1 Hero/Villian Merit (if your not pure, then you will just get additional Merits)

Complete 7 Incarnate TF - Receive x amount merrits + 1 Hero/Villian Merit (if your not pure, then you will just get additional Merits)

Complete X Amount of Ouroboros story Arc- Receive x amount merrits + 1 Hero/Villian Merit (if your not pure, then you will just get additional Merits)

Run a specific story Arc- Receive x amount merrits + 1 Hero/Villian Merit (if your not pure, then you will just get additional Merits)

On top of that, you get rewards for completing a series of objectives for the week:

Complete 1 Daily/Weekly Objective: Receive X inf

Complete 5 Daily/Weekly Objective: Receive X inf + Merits

Complete 15 Daily/Weekly Objective: Receive X inf + Merits + 1 Hero/Villian Merit (if your not pure, then you will just get additional Merits)

Complete 25 Daily/Weekly Objective: Receive X inf + Merits + 1 Hero/Villian Merit (if your not pure, then you will just get additional Merits) + One of those Super Booster Packs

The new reward system in TSW is that generous. I think they are trying to make the game even more casual.

I agree I do love that tsw added a challenge daily and weekly. I too think if/when city of. comes back someone should program a challenge program. A few things I would change though, one would be the incarnate tf/sfs not everyone will have access to them. That is if it is paid for only for vips. I would change it to the giant monsters.
I would add a challenge to complete x number of ae missions. Otherwise you gave awesome ideas. :)

Well they can use the incarnate challenge as an added carrot to sub. Regardless you will have 4 out of 5 dailies and 4 out of 5 weeklies to get to 25, which is very possible, just the 5th one makes it easier for sub

I had a SJ/regen scrapper that had soul mastery and the judgement power that granted defense bonus - was really fun when you learned to anticipate the ebb and flow of the battle and hard to kill.  And yep he had the destiny that gave res/def

I don't always get sucked into a jet engine and live to talk about it, but when I do I use the new ICD-10 V97.33XD code.  Because things like that need to be trended by your insurance company and your money!

Apparently GW2's EULA just replaced NCsoft with Arenanet in almost every instance:

Also, the ncsoft logo has always (as I understand it) been vacant from their expansion promo materials, though people figured it was just because ncsoft had a bad name.

Anet is making an announcement at PAX as well. I highly recommend the game, if in fact they do break free :)

Giant Monsters are actually not a good challenge target on their own because they have an implicit gate associated with them.  Many average teams would have trouble taking a single one down, while a strong solo player could solo one and a strong team could wipe out all of monster island so fast they could complete the challenge virtually at will.  What you want from a global reward challenge is something that more players can participate on a better level and that amplifies the benefits of superstrong builds somewhat less.  In other words, a flatter reward curve.

I agree, when I brought up the gm's I was thinking of something everyone could participate in, instead of a few people who would sub for. The gms could in a way get a huge buff so they would need a huge crow of players to take on.

That might be a way to get some players to sub, however, in tsw even the nightmare dungeons are playable by all. Even though some people will not team with someone who only has 10.0's, they would rather have someone who is maxed out on everything 10.7, 10.5.5. I do think you are on something though that could help city of., maybe make a challenge of the tfs/sfs have to be completed on the hardest difficulty such as +8/+4, with the added challenge of 0 to one death for the reward.

I dunno they do have Dailies like right now where you need to do the "Sabatoge Mission in Kaidan" and there is only 1, Bank Heist, and in order to get that, not only do you need to get issue 10, but also buy that mission pack separately. Personally I hate that mission, even if it is given by one of the best character in the game (actually I am happy he is affiliated with the Dragons compared to the other two.)

I think the best way to get people to sub even an older game like CoX is the price.Instead of free players make the monthly
sub 5.00 or maybe at most 7.99 a month. We all know whoever brings back CoX they will make their money back.I won't
pay 15.00 a month for any game, not anymore. The character slots, costumes and all the stuff the store had would more than
make up the lower price.

Karu8

TSW, huh. That game had some of the most interesting settings and stories ever. Bad character customization and zero player agency/interaction in story and cutscenes hurt it a lot, though. I got my Karma Curio and stopped playing at 10.4 when the next thing would've been the Tokio raid, and groups logically and reasonably wanted only people who had already done it before. "Link a piece of gear you can only get from the raid to get into the raid!" Okay, but how do I get that gear without doing the raid first? Durr.

I'd definitely try GW2 if it wasn't a thing that generates income for the Hated Enemy. I hope Anet does break free, as it's been a while since I played a fantasy MMO.

Sigh... I'm going to figure out how my Dad made his Teleport on his Mutation Energy Energy Blaster bind to his shift key, I mean, I know how he bound it to his shift key, but I don't know where exactly he put his Teleport on his Powers Bar, knowing him though, he put on 4 or 5 because he only used 1, 2 & 3  :P

Attracting new people will be hard. Most of us on here would sell half our soul to play again, money is money but for most of us here we would pay whatever we have to including $15 a month.

You didn't actually have to put any power on the Powers Bars if you didn't want to. Binds activated the power directly.
So far so good. Onward and upward!

Well they can do a Tier Model:

F2P: Like how the old system was, only difference, all of the chat is enabled regardless (I always thought that was a weird move. Why disable one of the key MMO aspect to attract new customers) Also they will disable the IO bonus, but retain the IO buffs (another big problem from before)

$5 Bronze: AE +  Incarnate stuff enabled +10% discount on Paragon Point Stuff + small paragon points stiffen

$10 Silver: AE + Incanate stuff enabled + the SSAs + 20% discount on Paragon point stuff + some paragon points stiffen

$15 Gold: AE +  Incanate stuff enabled + the SSAs + a power that allows you to gain 50% more xP for 1 hour that has a CD of 24 hours + 4 booster packs every month + 30% discount on Paragon point stuff + More paragon points stifen

Something like that where it won't give an over advantage for those willing to pay 15 but will reward them for their support.

I was paying $30 a month for two accounts right up until the end. I will do it again when the game comes back just to be able to team up with my kids.
If I was a Jedi, there's a 100% chance that I'd use The Force inappropriately.

See, I don't think Gold people should be the only ones to get Booster Packs, at the very least, Bronze should get 1, Silver gets 2 AND then Gold gets 4, that way, every Tier that pays will get at least 1 Pack thus having more of a chance to get the same things, it'll just mean Silver and Gold will have a higher chance of getting say a Rare Costume Piece than Bronze getting that same Rare Costume Piece.

All in all, I like this though, it makes sense AND it solves the problem of those who might not be able to afford $15 a month but can afford $10 or $5 a month  ;D
