Yes and no.  I guess the question is what's more important, the destination or the journey?  In both cases, the destination is the same.  But how we got there varies.  And isn't the how we got there the meat and potatos of the story?

Indeed. Although I've always been more a destination man, myself. I guess "beat up the bad guys to get evidence" is my story, with an emphasis on what the evidence is... whereas yours is perhaps more about "my character used stealth because that's the sort of thing my character does, and was able to take down a whole squad without them realizing he / she was there... and then also there was some evidence." I dunno.

...when I go to the range... I can proceed to hit that target with a Remmi, AR or a pistol... someone on the team [is] dying

I used CIT before they even joined the Titan network! But then I left for a long ol' time, and came back. Now I edit the wiki.

Saw the thread jumped 4 pages in a night.

Was like, "YES?"

Then kept reading and was like, "Nooooooo."  :(

It is not my effort. I do however support everything they are trying to do and will support them for as long as it takes.

Amen.

Did anyone run a Dr. Q with Incarnate characters, and did it make it substantially easier/faster?

it's faster if you +5 all your enhancements, then you get purple bonuses at LV44.

That's why your characters should be purpled-out to the max and with your 5x LotG Recharges at low levels as well.  :)

lol she said it before I did and I just noticed after the fact.

Congratulations!, usually I try to post from a specific angle that no one else does so there's a 100% chance of uniqueness, you broke that theory!
There is always another way. But it might not work exactly like you may desire.

A wise old rabbit once told me "Never give-up!, Trust your instincts!" granted the advice at the time led me on a tripped-out voyage out of an asteroid belt, but hey it was more impressive than a bunch of rocks and space monkies.

That's why you don't hire expensive voice actors. You can either use the people you have already and make it a bit of side development when a game publish is finished or find volunteers within our own amazing community.

Voice work to me would simply be a bonus.

And VAs who aren't professionals are usually not very good at it.  Best to leave it out if you can't really afford to do it properly.

I have his e-mail address and I know where he lives (in southern CA).  If he doesn't come back, I'm personally sending an extraction team.  :)

Very cool.  There were quite a few people from protector I would love to run/meet with again; however, Imp was one of my favorites.  Never ran into any problems while running with him.   :)

Not sure if Talbian V. (can't remember the spelling of the last name, but otherwise known as Talb or Tal) is on these boards, but that was another player who I hope returns.

People. NDAs are NDAs. I'm autistic, and used CoH as a sort of pseudo-theropy forcing myself to socialise with people and easily slip into any role I could imagine and still making it fit (Portal Corps is my friend in that regard). CoH helped me to grow as a person, fumbling my way through everyday social situations... Helped me discover my politics, morality, philosophical stance in life, gender identity and sexuality.

If I can be patient then so can you. And we can stop badmouthing CoT and NCSoft, neither of which will get our city back.

That said, I'm not buying an NCSoft product until it is done. That is, and has been my policy. I've actually lost friends because they bought Guild Wars 2. When Wildstar came out I sent the developers 20 bucks because I liked the concept and I did not like the publisher. I made sure in the card that it said NCSoft doesn't get a goddamn DIME of that money. Hell, I might even buy a few months of Wildstar if it isn't gutted by the time we get our city back.

Patience is a virtue, Virtue is a server on CoH. I miss Virtue. Let's bring Virtue back.

Yep. Slotted all non-purples at 35 when possible.

Is ncsoft going to be at pax or has pax already happened? Would be a dream come true to hear them announce something along the lines of: "A holding company has been established to license our previously closed down titles."

Depended on the mouse I was on as to how I handled a mob.  Brute or tank rodent, dove head in, ask them where the tennis courts were and proceed to connect my fists to their faces.  Ranged attacker, set them a blaze with fire after debuffing acc (rad) or stealing strength (kin).  Then again, lil hell mouse (demon/dark mm) was a hell of a lot of fun.  Not much in the game could take her on and win.

Y'know, I hadn't even thought of the impact on other games. More along the lines of general "this is cool, more MMOs should do it," but now I realize that for NCsoft specifically, using CoH as a trial run for this sort of thing could be a big deal for all their games.

...which isn't all that good a thing, since it just means they've closed down lots of games.

In other news today some jerks had been caught embezzling funds from developers in NCSoft.  NCSoft has since fired the assholes and plans to prosecute them.  This makes me wonder, if these jerks are responsible for the shutdown of our game?

http://massivelyop.net/2015/03/13/embezzlement-scandal-rocks-ncsoft/

The real victims, are both NCSoft AND the developers who these jerks were stealing from :/.  It's akine to sabotage.
Currently; Not doing any streaming, found myself with less time available recently.  Still playing starbound periodically, though I am thinking of trying other games.  Don't tell me to play mmohtg's though please :).  Getting back into participating in VO and the successors again to.

That was the whole point of the codewalker post. I think if "real news" happened it would jump 40 pages overnight. (heck probably more)

I kind of doubt that low-hanging embezzlers (I think they got the equivalent of $88,000 total) had anything to do with a game closure that happened 2 1/2 years ago now.

Now, Nexon buying its first 14% of NCSoft's stocks in June 2012, two months before the shutdown announcement for CoX... *that* I can believe being a driving force behind the shutdown somehow.

Hmmm, your right it probably wouldn't have been that big, but again we'll see what the investigations reveal, I mean how long were they working there and what if it's revealed they embezzled more?  Investigations can bring up more information over time afterall.

I still regret not being a part of that.

I  enjoyed CoH beta far more than any other I've participated in.   People actually used the LFG dialogs - you could set yourself
available and have an invite within 10 secs.  It was great.  People were helpful.

The final event with the supposed "Rikti Invasion" was a bit disappointing though - with the Rikti standing around unmoving.
When they finally did get a few moving, it was laughable with us lowbies being one shotted by the Rikti AE attacks.  :)
