I'm sure they are. I'd bet everyone got tired of the bickering, and what-not and is...taking a break from the thread...so to speak.

-shrugs-

Nah.  Most of the American's will be in bed, it's rather late for them! :p  Plus, just had Friday night, too. People would be out.

I'm still lurking.... But, just about every possible subject relating to this effort has been hashed out 5 times over by this point, so I think we're all just waiting with bated breath for any result that may happen in the next few months.

By the time this is over, I imagine we'll all have had plenty of opportunity to master bated breath.

...

I think that might sound wrong.

Not necessarily, depends on what level arching your arch type is authorized for

Arching as a shorthand for archenemy always reminds of the respec trial, since respec is short for respecification. It always amused to see people looking for a "respect trial" in broadcast. i used to reply that no single trial grants you respect, but if you do well on the team you'll get it anyway.

Most women don't have one of these... Though I understand things can get a bit odd in Thailand.

Of course, you might not have been talking to me.

I'm going to refrain from what I was going to say in order to keep a PG rating. :)

Genitals? Mastery of bated breath and related misreadings are not limited to a single plumbing configuration. Or maybe i was misreading again...

I think we're all realizing that for a while all we can do is wait.

It is a little light but that's fine.

Tangentially related, last night I ran my first D&D campaign that I have run in 10 years. I went back to the 1976 white box set with supplements for my rules. I started thinking about this and putting together basically when New Efforts kicked off. It's hard to understate the power that hope gave me and that's what City of Heroes means to me.

Even though not much is being said at this moment, I still check this thread regularly just because it makes my world a better place with even the hope that City of Heroes could come back.

Speaking of PnP RPGs, for those who want even MORE nostalgia, White Wolf is gearing up to release M20: Mage the Ascension, 20th anniversary edition:

Meanwhile I'm sitting here and pondering new characters for the inevitable return, and I'm remembering how there'd always be one or two Tanks(Brutes?) that would just never falter in iTrials. Now my SR/Staff Tanker was USUALLY in this character, but the problem with SR is it had only one type of protection: Defense. As soon as something negated that defense, I might as well have been sitting in the back sucking my thumb.

So when the game returns, I'm going to make a Titan Weapons character. I know not whether to make it a Tanker or a Brute, IOing isn't really a problem, but I'm not sure what to pair it with. For rounded protection against pretty much anything, I'm thinking invulnerability (which is a bit of a downer with no psi defenses) or Electric Armour.

Thoughts?

While i'm fond of Dark Armor i must admit that i'd lean towards Electric Armor for a Tanker/Brute type, since it seems that energy damage is more common than negative energy damage, especially in the later half of the game. My DM/Electric Brute spent a lot of time Rikti hunting on x8/+2, and Staff is better in the AoE department.

I have a great idea for the new owners to make more money. $10 unlocks 1 secondary from one class to use in another class. Example: You want a controller Fire Control/Fiery Aura (scrapper's secondary - brute's Fiery Aura would be a different unlock, although I'm unsure of the difference) - $10 unlocks the scrapper's Fiery Aura for all your controllers! Later, decide you want to run a blaster with Fire Blast/Fiery Aura (also from the scrapper) - another $10. Now you can't change the primary or the inherent (that would change the class too much), but think of the possibilities!

With 10 classes (excluding the Epic Arch-Types)  and lots of secondaries to choose from, there's a lot to unlock (thus potential revenue). Now, in theory, you could make a Tank Fire Armor/Fire Blast (from the defender's secondary), which might make a great "Tank Mage" - but you never know! OK - I just realized the currently, defender's don't have Fire Blast, but you could choose Fiery Assault from the dominator's.

Also, changing the Secondary of the stalkers (with Hide as their first choice would drastically change their class - maybe for stalkers', you import a secondary into their primary and their primary into another secondary...), but taking the stalker's secondary into a Scrapper or Blaster?

What would I choose? I know my first unlock would be the controller's /Kinetics for my MMs!

I also realize that this is potentially massively game unbalancing (especially in PvP - which I hate). But that's not my problem. This is my dream!

Instead of trying to take apart why they shouldn't do this (I also realize that they probably will never do it), try to think of what you would unlock for yourself? What is on your wish list? Would you try to become the best Tank Mage or would you just want to try and mix things up?

Defenders had fire blast, actually, I think they got it as one of the first proliferated powersets.  My time/fire defender would like a word with you, and give a nice, cold metallic slap of a mechanical arm :). *Slap* *Slap* *Slap*

Speaking of slapping I remember when the super slap was possible, just chain slap and smack emotes together, hehe.

Anyhow, she also had capped defense ratings.  Things melted before her AoEs and blaze/fire blast/flairs.
Currently; Not doing any streaming, found myself with less time available recently.  Still playing starbound periodically, though I am thinking of trying other games.  Don't tell me to play mmohtg's though please :).  Getting back into participating in VO and the successors again to.

IIRC, Defenders got Fire Blast a lot later, like, I21 I want to say?
