But I would hope that a marketing team would be able to get something a bit more involved and positive going with BBT, rather than hoping the show does something with it. It would be cool to get something planned enough in advance that an episode hits concurrent with a new release.

The Big Bang Theory always used to have CoH boxes and stuff in the background... When we come back, make sure they know about it! The characters in that show -love- superheroes!

It's not just in the background - there was one clip where they were wondering which faction to join in a new MMO, and straight up said "In City of Heroes, we play the heroes."

Right, she's all that ever came to mind for me and I'm not really a fan of the character so it became harder and harder to rationalize the premise of the powers thematically in other ways. I saw plenty of plant creature characters and similar things but I never really liked doing non-human toons, I'm boring like that.

Well, Poison Ivy would be a science origin, right? So maybe explore with other origins - like magic (as JKPhage did) or something else... Maybe bitten by a radioactive venus fly trap?

I am lead to understand that Dark Armor or Aura has a regen debuff and that's the one you need and it it's better against some rather than others. I think Adamanstor? Someone who knows will undoubtedly correct me.

Not on the melee sets dark defenders and control could but not the melee guys we had fear and stuns

-def attacks sets could put an Achilles proc in and if you ran Dual Blades you could ad the aoe version in sweeping strike which was part of your attack chain but with the proc rate it did not do enough to over come a gm but man did it help dps

You can't blame these folks for being professional. They have to make sure their company is properly represented. Whatever happened 2 years ago doesn't affect necessarily with who they are dealing with now, does that make sense?

Here let me try it this way - I know quite a few Russian people, they aren't Vladamir Putin and don't always agree with his decisions. You can be tied to an organization and not reflect past or future decisions. The past reasons to shut the game are not the same as the ones to restart or sell it.

I totally get what you're saying. The thing is this. From the time they made their decision to shutter the game, to the day they did, it never occurred to anyone to they might want to back the game up to preserve the data, given they had been in talks to sell it. I mean really, how many times could they have backed the data up in over 3 months. It's just silly. That doesn't seem very professional to me.

These are among some of the things they have to prove to NCSoft as a condition of sale. It is going to take a while to get through all of the conditions. Obviously if they lack somewhere we have to hope NCSoft allows them to fix any area they feel is not quite good enough yet.

I wouldn't think anyone would be able to fit conditions 100% initially though.  Odds are though if NCSoft is serious about talking they are going to give people who are seriously negotiating the chances they need.  It's a two way thing, both parties have to be willing to make something work, it's the will to do so that matters.

I want you to go back over all my posts and find where I ever said I hated NCsoft. I haven't been that hard on them from the start. Sure, I haven't bought a single game from them since the shut down, but as a consumer I spend my money where I feel I get the most for my dollar.

I wasn't replying to you, Fanta.  It was a generic comment.  I didn't even -quote- you, so I dunno where you got I was talking about you...

I have a great idea for the new owners to make more money. $10 unlocks 1 secondary from one class to use in another class. Example: You want a controller Fire Control/Fiery Aura (scrapper's secondary - brute's Fiery Aura would be a different unlock, although I'm unsure of the difference) - $10 unlocks the scrapper's Fiery Aura for all your controllers! Later, decide you want to run a blaster with Fire Blast/Fiery Aura (also from the scrapper) - another $10. Now you can't change the primary or the inherent (that would change the class too much), but think of the possibilities!

With 10 classes (excluding the Epic Arch-Types)  and lots of secondaries to choose from, there's a lot to unlock (thus potential revenue). Now, in theory, you could make a Tank Fire Armor/Fire Blast (from the defender's secondary), which might make a great "Tank Mage" - but you never know! OK - I just realized the currently, defender's don't have Fire Blast, but you could choose Fiery Assault from the dominator's.

Also, changing the Secondary of the stalkers (with Hide as their first choice would drastically change their class - maybe for stalkers', you import a secondary into their primary and their primary into another secondary...), but taking the stalker's secondary into a Scrapper or Blaster?

What would I choose? I know my first unlock would be the controller's /Kinetics for my MMs!

I also realize that this is potentially massively game unbalancing (especially in PvP - which I hate). But that's not my problem. This is my dream!

Instead of trying to take apart why they shouldn't do this (I also realize that they probably will never do it), try to think of what you would unlock for yourself? What is on your wish list? Would you try to become the best Tank Mage or would you just want to try and mix things up?
