Someone was talking about Grav control a while back. One type of power that frustrated me was Archery. Blasters had no Trick Arrow, and defenders' secondaries were too-weak versions of blaster primaries, so I concentrated on a pure-Archery corruptor. I wanted very much to like it, but it just seemed underpowered, compared to other corruptor primaries. I tried comparing the Archery and AR snipes (same level of corruptor, same enhancements), and the numbers that I got suggested that the Archery snipe did about 2/3 the AR snipe's damage, on average.

I didn't think to time the various powers; maybe Archery fired more often in a given time period, so that the overall DoT might have evened out. I wish I had timed them. Also, I'll grant that I was inexperienced at corruptors at the time, so maybe I wasn't using Trick Arrow to the best compensating effect. I'm looking forward to giving it another chance.

Or maybe it's that we never got a Robin-Hood cap, and I just wasn't FEELING like an archer. :)

The people who are publicly NC-hating have been asked to cool their jets for a while, as a sign of respect and appreciation that NCsoft still seem to be negotiating in good faith; AA's "Unity" video is amazeballs and punches people in the feels; Gravity Control is not just for Science anymore; meatloaf has been renamed to "beef ingot"; and more things should be renamed to "ingots", except for liver ingots, which although they are the meat ingot of choice if you *had* to eat raw meat ingots, are also the spawn of Mot and should be banished from this plane of existence before they rise against us.  ...Some of that may be paraphrased.

There may have been more, but that's all I really caught. There were points it was going by so fast I couldn't really make out details. Heck, I think one night it went to plaid.

My first lvl 50 was a fire/fire tank dumpster diving was awesome, stacking badguys up and killing 10  guys with 1 single target hit was so op, hated when the reduced the agro number and put the fear on burn it totally ruined that character for me.

PS: I miss Firesword circle  ;D

You'd be pleased to hear that there were some very distant plans in the game files related to making a Magnetic Control set.  I can only dream how awesome that'd've been!

Really? I seem to recall them saying that Magnetic would be too close to Gravity to bother making....then again they also said we could never do power customization...so this is awesome news :D Was it just little things or was it an outline like they had for Wind Control?

No one ever said "never" about Power Customization.  BaB was always very specific to describe how prohibitively difficult it'd be, but he never stated it wasn't going to happen.  As it turned out, he made it a personal crusade to make it happen all the while telling us how hard it was.  Even attempting things that eventually got us Weapon Customization first that woukdn't've worked with regular powers.

As far as too close to Grav?  I don't necessarily think so.  If they spin it as more like "metal control" it could be made very distinct.
