Synapse gets his own longbow paramedic escape team when he gets KO'ed and medi-teleporters out.  Nobody else does.

Oh wow.

Experiment used only with one character, then forgotten about and left in?

Or does it fit with his character? I wouldn't think so, myself..
I'm all dressed up with nowhere to go
Walkin' with a dead man over my shoulder

Waiting for an invitation to arrive
Goin' to a party where no one's still alive

Wow, never thought there would be at least one good thing about CoX ending. But there is...No. More. Flambimbeaux.
And no more Hoorb.
Man I loved the villain mish where I could beat the Shining Stars to a bloody pulp.
Wow...you're a Carton of Hate AND a Wedge of Spite. Just like Milk and Cheese! ;)

I'm bad and that's good.
I'll never be good and that's not bad.
There's no one I'd rather be than me.

...unless I could be Batman, of course. Everybody wants to be Batman.

Stereotype. Not all villains are filled with hate. Some just don't give a damn  ;)

As much as I like the Shining Stars, I truly loved playing that ssa issue (4?) as a villain. ( ' : <

I have to put in a pitch for the Defebcers and controllers.

Fluffy
Woofers
I liked to call the electric control pets: Gremmies
Mr. Poo, Stoney, Rocky
Kinetic Handshake
* buff in 5 seconds on ?
Hello Damage cap (after stacking fulcrum shifts)
The sound effect has been gone awhile but the original fulcrum shift would nearly crash some vid/sound cards
Howling Twilight?? But, I'm not dead yet.
Can you recall fire on a tar patch (sure you can)

JWBullfrog

Null the Gull.
Snaptooth
Baby New Year
The Elf
Whoever the heck it was doing the yodeling.
DJ Zero (and the fact he only ever played one record)

As long as somebody keeps making up stories for it, the City isn't gone.

It's a cape, it's a blanket, it's a... CLANKET!  As seen on TV!

Radio
Television

Muxley: "Rackin' frackin' rausey-rakin'!"

Telephone:  "Riiiing! Riiiing!"

Luddite lessons in Cap:
"Figure 1 shows the difference between a 'Good Protest' and a 'Bad Protest.'
The Bad Protest is the one with all of the head injuries.
Illustration 4 is entitled 'How to go limp'."

Sorority Recruiter : "Come on! Heroes TOTALLY join sororities! Join now!"

In fact - all of the NPC-on-the-street dialogues.  I should start a thread on that if there isn't one already.  I have an embarrassingly large text file of NPC quotes I just had to save.  Someone had way too much fun putting in random 'flavor' dialogue for characters you passed on the street.  What other game has done that?

I love(d) the game's sense of humor... so much....

Septipheran

This only really caught on in the Kheldian forums, but since Microcosm was such a numbers wonk, whenever anyone would pose a question or voice an opinion that was possibly confusing or contentious, some of the regulars would post the "Microsignal" to summon Microcosm to a thread.

I preferred the Rocky Horror themed one, something like rescue Dr Frank N Scott.

Use of F10 Battle Cries during cutscenes.    8)

I always wanted to make one of these to say 'Someone order a cutscene with extra cheese?', but never got around to actually doing it.

Also we've had AE babies in here but everyone always forgets the Winter Lord babies that came before them. :p

Funny thing, I actually knew a few AE babies who grew up to be competent players.  Yes, they got a little preoccupied with their billion-inf farming franchises, but at least they knew how to carry their toons on Incarnate trials and Task Forces :P

I actually laughed the first time I got the "Rescue Betty Jo Bialaski" mission.  I didn't expect anyone would know a Firesign Theater sketch (remember I'm old and that was a 70s audio comedy sketch).

There were quite a few of those references tucked away in the game. (I am old, too.)

It's all Polaron's fault. (no longer limited to CoX)
