Hey folks! Going to throw something into this pile since it seems to have gone a bit stale...

I'm seeing a bit missing from the VEAT (Arachnos Widow, Wolf, Bane/Crab) that is at least present in Icon, and from what I recall I think was on live as well...

First is the complete lack of crab backpacks. However, given the previous messages- specifically this one from CW:
I think the issue is that the "Arachnos Uniform" costume slot doesn't have a 'None' option for the back slot, so if the crab arms are unlocked then they are the only choice for that slot.

Hmm, not sure how to resolve that. Adding an entry to the costume list is big can of worms much more complicated than just removing requirements. And the way I'm currently removing the requirements involves patching the costume.bin file (that's the only way to make the Incarnate merit unlocks available at character creation thanks to hardcoded dumbness), so it has to be done before the client is launched and can't be changed hot.
... I'm going to assume it's very well known that they're missing, until determined how to be tweaked around to work as desired.

Beyond that, is the "Wolf" costume set option. This is the third option of costume type, outside of "Wolf & Helm" and "Bane/Crab" which allows a complete lack of helmets with the Wolf body armor and such.

You can load costumes from this set, but are unable to create them from scratch- or switch to them from the EAT costume types even after being loaded...

Example on female- also, missing 'Boots' slot?:

At least Widows have the choice!:

Don't think I've seen it mentioned here thus far, so tossing it into the pile in case it was not previously identified! :D

The 'Post Apocalyptic' costume pieces always show up completely white-out for me.  I'm updated to the latest version, on a Windows platform.  No idea why it shows up like that.  Even in the tailor it does.  It's be nice to see what those pieces look like!

That means that you're not using the ultra-mode shaders -- the ones that support things like normal maps. Those pieces have fallback textures for the old rendering path defined, but the textures don't actually exist. Since those costume pieces were not released yet, presumably that's something that would have been completed prior to them becoming available.

Since the costume pieces themselves are unfinished, there isn't a whole lot we can do about that. However, pretty much any video card made in the last 8-10 years should support a high enough OpenGL feature level to use the ultra-mode shaders, even if they can't run the fancier features and have to turn off things like ambient occlusion or reflections.

The easiest way to do that is to turn on advanced graphics options, bump the shadow setting up to anything above Low (Medium is just fine), then hit apply. Even if you turn it back down to Low afterward to go back to simple shadows, the newer shaders will still be in use.

If that still doesn't work, you may be running a very old graphics driver and need to update it. Otherwise please post what you have. Even most integrated graphics chips these days should support the necessary features.

Ahh!  That worked - the shadow setting.  Thank you, CW!  Yay more costume pieces to spend hours with!
