I've enjoyed all the Lego games i've played. Wouldn't recommend paying full price for them, though they've gotten bigger with every one they've released. also they just added 3 more games to that already great star wars humble bundle i mentioned earlier.

Though now that you mention it maybe i need to dust off my Suikodens. Loved the first but never got around to playing through the rest of them.

I never got around to finishing Suikoden 1, never played 2 or 3. I've played the rest though and I vote Tactics and 5 to the be the best from what I've played.

First Ward, or maybe Night Ward.

Yeah, that's the one.  Seemed like my kinda place.  Should have explored it more.   :-\

I even had a toon made specifically to battle paranormal threats...

Now I want a kitten.
Indeed.  The proper way to play CoH is with a soft, purry kitty on your lap.  :)

I made one, then chickened out and deleted her because I thought she might get generic'd. She was going to be Immortal Barbie, a perky supernatural hero who dealt with the things that were beyond Mortal Ken.

...get it?

*facepalm*

I love it.

I still catch myself thinking of names for characters. I was grousing a couple weeks ago about how I was really wanting to do a really solid Mayhem Mission to blow off some steam, and realized that a PERFECT name for a bank-robbing uber-destructive villain would be...

... Collateral Damage.

I think this is NCSoft's doing. They don't want a repeat of the last Hail Mary attempt.

The emails, masks and other stuff were not well recieved by NCSoft. They saw it more of a hinderance to doing business and wasted man hours than as a plea from the fan base. A lot of emotions were running high and it was personal rather than a business deal. If you are going to run the game and make enough of a profit to keep the doors open - you need to have the business mindset - not the gamers.

I will be playing the Powerball tonight - I think I could make the needle move with $400 million.
This is exactly why I can't rule out NCSoft doing something based on personal feelings rather than business.  They've shown themselves to be governed by emotion before.

You mean 400 mill - 45% - whatever your state will reap from you xD
I've never gotten the logic that the state hands you money you won from them....but take a big piece of it back as they are handing it to you.

I think just about any needle will move with that much money. That being said however, offering to financially back the potential new owners is a good idea, providing that things look like they will go through, and they have a good business plan setup.  Can't throw good money after bad, as they say.

Also with all that being said, the line forms behind me for Powerball tickets. :)

The name Barbie I think was around long before the toys were, so on that basis as long as your character didn't look like a Barbie doll you shouldn't be turned into a generic.

I had a fire using character that had the word Torch as part of his name, some other player kept disturbing me with PM's about how they were going to rat me out and get me in trouble, etc.  I reminded him that the word Torch was in the human vocabulary long before Jim Hammond, Toro Raymond or Johnny Storm were ever created, then tossed him onto my ignore list.  Never got turned generic.

Without knowing the particulars, I could understand why those things might be bothersome to NCSoft.  I don't think it's a secret there is a community out here that wants to play the game again.  Exactly how big that community is I suppose is anyone's guess, but I also suppose the question for NCSoft is who are the people actually looking to buy the property, rather than how many of us annoying internet people will whine at them.  :)

Just got to send to an offshore account.  That way it won't be taxed.

From the CUSTOMER'S perspective, yes - I agree with you :) But from a corporate business perspective, the client often times falls secondary to what would be most financially beneficial to the business as a whole, unfortunately (i.e. popular restaurants in our towns having to close down because the owners can't pay the mortgages, or certain after school programs being cancelled because of cuts made to educational funding). Not to mention, I anticipate that even NCSoft - at this point - is fully aware of fact that they own the rights to a game that ALREADY has a franchise following. The customer is already 'there' - now it's just a matter of, as IronWolf pointed out, whether or not the new/potential buyers are business-savvy enough to know how to keep the ship moving.

Honestly, I can only hope that the future of City of Heroes (probably late future, circa when the game is getting ready to be ported to Unreal 4) involves some type of budget built for marketing and advertising. Granted, if the deal goes through, a lot of the marketing/advertising will initially come to them willingly in the form of online gaming publications just wanting to cover the story.

...And it will be a STORY, lemme tell you. *laughs* Which is why I love whenever someone on the Facebook pages asks if COH is revived yet, there's always someone who responds with "Believe me - if/when it is, you'll know about it". Such an accurate response.
Viva la Virtue!

I will have to admit. I lol'd. That is pretty much how I feel about most MMOs now days.

I remember one time, on my MA/regen, before I13, In warburg, I was dueling my blast friend on top of a roof, and I crane kicked him off while he was at low health, and jumped after him, eagles claw's animation played out, and when it finished, it looked like I did an airborne curbstomp, as the critical Eagle's claw's animation connected with his head.

Good times.
