I'm having a bit of an MMO slump atm, I really can't find anything to keep me interested for a more than an hour. STO,CO,Secret World, SWTOR, WOW. I log in, have a run around and log off. I feel like I have done everything I needed in all apart from dailies etc. Never had that problem with COH I used to play it 12-15hrs constantly 5 times a week when doing security work :p

Have you tried Realm Reborn yet? I just got back into it, and having a blast with it so far. Currently working on an Archer, Gladiator, and Lancer.

I prefer the Italian classic:

I don't know, I wasn't there, and if I WAS there, I was asleep.
Al Gore when asked if he was around during some potentially illegal talks with some fund raising issues:

I was probably in the bathroom when they discussed that, I drank a lot of iced tea.

Man I have that same problem with iced tea.

Have to try that if ever questioned by the FBI - I had a lot of Iced tea and was likely in the bathroom during that conversation.

Wonder if they will accept that as well from someone not the VP?

I kinda want to try one of the Final Fantasy MMOs, but it sounds like all the Jobs I like (from FF5, FFT, and Bravely Default) are advanced Jobs that require long questlines to unlock and/or are pretty useless at doing the thing I like them for in their original games.

I've been playing Lego superhero games and Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep instead.

Swotor is fun for a bit but don't make the mistake of subbing for 6 months like i did. i'm miserable in it after 1.5 and feel like i have to keep playing to justify my cash.

You should drop it. Your time is more valuable than your money. you can always make more money but your time is finite.

It's difficult to discern tone in text, so you may be kidding, but ... Pandaren predate the release of Kung-Fu Panda by a good five years.  (Heck, even the Pandawa, a parody of Pandaren found in another MMO, Dofus, predates Kung-Fu Panda by two years)

Well hot diggity dog. I had no idea. Mist of Pandaria (or whatever Panda-land is called) came out well after the movie (2012 vs. 2008) but the article on WoW wiki for the race has an entry in 2005, and in fact the image it uses in 2005 has a copyright notice of 2003. http://www.wowwiki.com/Pandaren?oldid=57210 http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/wowwiki/images/3/32/Pandaren.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20050415012304

In fact, Padaren were created in 2002 as a joke: http://www.wowwiki.com/Pandaren_April_Fools
I used CIT before they even joined the Titan network! But then I left for a long ol' time, and came back. Now I edit the wiki.

I'm working on sorting the Lore AMAs so that questions are easily found and linked: http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Lore_AMA/Sorted Tell me what you think!

COH saved me from Ffxi back in the day so I took a while to try 14. I just now booted it up. It looks great and is miles more user friendly than the 2003-2004 version I used to play.

If anyone has a Coh-centric server or guild let me know.
Rejolt Industries LLC is now a thing. Woo!

I love RIFT. Been there since closed beta, kept my paying subscription the entire time. I play on Faeblight (the RP server), and while yeah, every community has raging douchecanoes, I generally like it there. There are some things it does really well (DIMENSIONS OMG), some things not so great (crafting is okay but nothing hugely special), and some things wrong (the occasional enforced Dungeon or Raid in order to advance storylines). I think it's a beautiful game, and the dev team is a fairly responsive one.

The BEST thing about it is that ALL of the content is free. If you want the specialty souls, or certain equipment slots, you can either farm platinum or grind void stones to unlock them (rather than buying the expansions that unlock them), but they are not NEEDED to play the game.

Right? Same here.

...Granted, in all honesty, I've really only given one other game a fair shot - and that was Champions Online. I still log in and play it from time to time to see what the community is up to, but it's just not a game I can condition myself to thoroughly enjoy like I did COH. Once the gold standard for superhero MMORPG's becomes your own PERSONAL standard for superhero MMORPG's, it becomes legitimately difficult to change gears and have that same type of gaming experience elsewhere.

However, I'm a triple-slotted lvl 50 tank/brute GOD in this one game called 'Patiently Waiting'. It's super fun, but I need to log out and take breaks from time to time. It's a COMMITMENT, I tell you.  :(

was WoW sued for their kungfu panda rip-off yet?
The Pandaren have been a part of WoW lore for longer than the expansion. So, no, there was no ripoff, and no, there was no lawsuit.

Same here.  Although I alternate between DCUO and CO.  Neither can hold my interest for more than a few hours at a time.

I wish I was well slotted for patience right now.  Increasingly finding that every time I play something, I'm thinking about what I'd rather be playing.

I was re-watching "Everything Wrong with 'Independence Day' in 6 Minutes", and laughed my head off again when they showed Adam Baldwin and played the "Firefly" song clip, "The hero of Canton, the man they call Jaaaayne!" I think that any project he appears in, from now on, should run that song clip when he first shows up on-screen.

FFXIV has been my poison of choice for almost a year now. It started out a little content-scarce, but SE has been releasing content at a great rate. I've been hooked on the crafting system, which is very complex, for the last 2 months, but I also have Summoner/Scholar and Ninja at 50. I can't wait for the Golden Saucer in 2 weeks. Triple Triad and chocobo racing FTW.

Nmmhmmm, I remember the easter egg in the undead campaign very well.  The pandaran were hidden behind some trees you can simply chop down and then Arthas asks "What the hell is that?".  The pandarans respond with the same thing and then a fight springs out.  Warcraft 3 wasn't a bad game to me, it was good just not as interesting to me as starcraft or myth 2 soulblighter.
Currently; Not doing any streaming, found myself with less time available recently.  Still playing starbound periodically, though I am thinking of trying other games.  Don't tell me to play mmohtg's though please :).  Getting back into participating in VO and the successors again to.

Yes; drop it. If you didn't like the game, and COULD get the money back and use it on something else, THEN continuing to play would be wasting the money. Since you can't get the money back, it's
irretrievable, and is now irrelevant, and you should put the time to better use than playing a game you don't enjoy.
