Does anyone know if the server structure will be similar to before? I was subbed with auto-draft from day one and made the move to Exalted when it went up (which I regretted) and would like to make sure I build somewhere populated this time.

that has been a question I have posed before. When the game comes back will all the servers return, and do we need all the servers at relaunch?  Should half return with the other half on standby?

As to exalted, well I don't think we would need a VIP only server at relaunch, but bring it back as a regular server instead or save it for much later.

Server plans aren't final yet but she's hoping for different server shards I think? That's just from reading over the site.

Personally I'd like different server shards myself. I like playing the different ATs a lot. Usually (or when CoH was up) I'd have basically a Controller server (with some other ATs mixed in), a MM server ect...

So that's why I'm hoping for different shards. With the AT combos I liked the most. I'd transfer them to which ever server I was playing on a lot. I Server hopped a lot the last 1-2 years I played. LOL

Sorry if this has already been commented, but I don't pay a visit to these forums that often, so here it goes... in another thread here I read that MWM is no longer involved on getting CoH back, but they are focused on developing CoT... if that's true, and given it was Downes himself who made the public address last September, how are negotiations now, with a "new" face trying to reach an agreement with NCSoft? What concerns me is what might be NCSoft thinking on us, if every now and then a different person shows up as "spokesperson", instead of having a steady and fluent commercial relationship wth the same person or group of people.

As for who's running the IP holding company, that's undecided at this time. Nate's said he doesn't want the job. This will prolly remain undecided until *very* late in the negotiations with NCSoft.
Same goes for whatever team will end up running the Legacy servers. People keep suggesting to me that we (Revival) do it, Which makes sense in a way I suppose...But I hate to say that for the moment I'm really lacking in staff for working on Revival, let alone running the I23 servers.
(I plan on addressing the staff issue once the deal is signed, but that'll most likely be too late for anyones preference for handling Legacy.)

Once the deal is signed.  I like your positive thinking. :)  (A matter of time...whether it is this bid...or another or a brute force reverse engineered server.)  ((If a Star Wars morg can be reverse engineered...why not CoH?))

Legacy and Revival.  I can't see any reason why one CoH IP company can't do both?

As for p*****.  Is it too hard to spell?  Probably the worst abbreviation out there.

Have the holding company managed by a trust, then have that trust composed of contributors from a kickstarter? Sell non-voting shares and preferred shares?

Would make it so the players would have input on future development without direct creative control. Also it'd generate some coin.

The current wait isn't about the holding company...it's about the entire plan...and every minute contractual detail...in other words...typical business deals. People forget/are not aware...business deals like this are a slow process so that no one gets screwed in the end :)

The current wait isn't about the holding company...it's about the entire plan...and every minute contractual detail...in other words...typical business deals. People forget/are not aware...business deals like this are a slow process so that no one gets screwed in the end :)

It's more of a slow, thorough, continuous screwing that makes sure everyone agrees to everything before the big finish. At which point any surprises that are left will be many months later.

Not that i decided to take the analogy and run with it or anything...  :-X
