Whoever invented lockboxes needs to be forced to play the Keyes Reactor Trial with a league of hyperactive 5 year olds until they get the "Avoids the Green Stuff" badge - only then will they be allowed to stop.

I'd just make them herd cats.

We should also keep in mind that a lot of the dedicated members will be bringing in their friends. I have at least three friends who never played CoX, and I will make them play. Even if I weren't going to force them to play, I'm sure I've been ranting and raving about this game long enough for them to be curious to try it at relaunch.

My gf has already been made aware that she will be playing.   :D   (She's a gamer so I'm not twister her arm too hard)

I once saw nine characters - all as round as they could be made, and dressed as billiard balls with numbers on their chests - arranged in a "racked" triangle for a screen capture. Just when you think the players' creativity might have reached a limit.

Oh that's awesome!   I always liked seeing a "theme" among several players.

I finally got my toons' group photos done and posted to Multimedia. Thank you, Codewalker, for all your work on Icon, which makes it possible for me to see my toons gathered together! I'm going to use the first photo as my laptop's wallpaper (once I re-do it; looking at the original, I DID leave Sidekick Girl out of it, somehow).

Well, the main big news is 40 new pages have been added to this thread... Other then that just waiting for details to be ironed out and hopefully produce some real news.

I'm a little late to the CO "bashing", but...

I wanted to like CO.  I tried to like CO.  And I guess I did like it, to some degree.  The costume creator had some really nice options that I wish CoH had, and the ability to simply remove the last-picked power for basic currency instead of having to respec the entire character was fantastic (and would probably be at the top of my wishlist of "QoL Changes I'd Like To See In CoH"). Maybe I'd even still be playing CO as a "distant runner-up" option, especially if it had a native Mac client.

But I wasn't really enjoying it the way I was CoH.  I found it a combination of way too easy to the point of being boring and repetitive and way too difficult to the point of being frustrating (where most of the game would be the former, and then I'd run into a Super Villain who'd be the latter and it'd shut me down). I also disliked the way that you got most of your XP from mission completion and almost nothing from beating even the most powerful enemies, and all my characters felt very same-y despite the wide variety of powers available (except my pseudo-Mastermind, who I really did enjoy).

Maybe if/when I get a faster computer I'll try it again. Or, more likely, maybe I'll just hope that this works out and CoH comes back.

Edit: I thought it was pretty clear from my first big paragraph that this isn't actually a post to bash CO.  I've added sarcastic quotes to the first sentence to make it more clear.

Edit 2: Huh.  Now I see why the CO discussion stopped in the first place.  Sorry, Aggelakis, I missed your post somehow!

Edit 3: (But going to the CO forums to talk about comparing CoH to CO is... well, a bad idea.  You're not going to get debate, you're going to get "Shut up, CO is better because your game shut down and ours didn't, ha ha ha."  I know this from experience)

I had a Spanish zombie called Señor Willy,his catchphrase was "I Señor Willy",always raised a smile in teams ;)
Also I seem to remember on one of the TF when a female char does a cut scene everyone spamming their warcrys for much hilarity,same on the Ouro TF when Romulus goes baddie.
Another memory was doing the Synapse TF as a lowbie on my first ever char,editing a mission and getting nuked by Babbage,was really like wtf just happened there lol.
Plus lvling my first char on Tsoo bosses and Council bosses because I wasn't too sure about missions lol.
And then the regen nerf wars started -cries- basically because people didn't understand how regen worked,they only saw a full green bar at the end of a fight,they never saw ur health bar yo-yoing green to red while you used ur heals,etc.Hate the waaah! Crowd for getting that nerfed.
Towards the end I would normally burn a char to 40+ via the dreaded AE farm missions and then I would try it out...lol...if I liked it then it got pimped out.
Another thing I loved was making a team absolute rock and them not realise you are doing it...like with /earth or /cold,etc.things like infridgidate,benumb and rad powers.they just melted AV's and people never knew haha.
Anyways sending out positive vibes to one and all and please please please let's get our frikkin city back.
Ooh one other question for Ironwolf or anyone really,do you know if there are plans for Euro servers in the mix or all US ones? Tnx in advance....

I would like to make them play the redside Respec with an otherwise incompetent team. You want to talk about pain, what about that effing TREE.

I felt much the same about CoX's Super Packs too though, TBH. I just don't like that sort of thing at all.

I always found the reactor more trouble than the tree. I never did get on a team that couldn't complete the villain respec. Can't remember the number of times we gave up hero side.
