I loved Goat MMO Simulator :).  Love how the first quest calls you a mary sue, and how everything is just a big shot at quests in mmorpgs and how stupid they often are :).  Especially McSlowpants and dragging that stupid guys butt all the way to the bar he wants to go to :).

Lick him, add to your inventory, drop him from your inventory once you reach the bar.

Won't you have to have a level 50 to unlock the Arachnos soldier?

The (former) devs lowered it to 20, same with Khelds.

Sweet. Didn't know that. Course I had a 50 ASAP anyways.

umber

Always wanted to level up a Dark/Dark stalker but couldn't get past the pose for Dark Melee's (and Martial Arts') assassin attack as being way too goofy-looking.

brothermutant

Electric melee had the same pose/problem. Shame too, as I almost always like elec powers on any toon.

Vee

My electric/ice stalker was an absolute blast after the stalker fixes. Definitely going to remake, especially since the shutdown killed the stalker proc nerf. Maybe we can take up a collection to bribe Irish Girl to "forget" about it for APR too. Also the -kb IO in bonfire - completely WAI :P

shouldn't have to bribe a fellow player to undo a nerf ;)

Sounds like you are stuck with the Stalker. Fun toon though. Mine was a STJ/Ninjitsu stalker and that combo was very fun.

I liked the EATS (Except peacebringers) the most as dedicated characters, simply because of all the many things you could do with them.

Though, I may do the shade last, get my crab spider to farm recipes with, and once I get a sufficient supply, move them to the shade.

Speaking of blasters - how about something we never considered - a Fireworks Blaster.

This happened within 10 miles of where I work - 150 car pile up and 44,000 pounds of FIREWORKS!

The Fire Works Blaster:

Teir 2 - small smoke circle - immobilize single target
Teir 3 - M80 - Fire and even greaterSmash/Lethal damage
Teir 4 - Black Snakes - Foe Knock down and chance to confuse - Pet
Teir 5 - Bottle Rocket - Sonic Damage and Smash Lethal
Teir 6 - Roman Candle - Sniper Fire and Smash Lethal
Teir 7 - Fire Burst - Cone Damage Fire and Smash/Lethal
Teir 8 - Magnum Tremors - knockdown and Dot Fire - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYo11Mdrz-A

Cool, but Iron Wolf, do you mind updating the first post at least once a week.
Make us feel that progress is happening, wheels are turning, back-room deals are being made, animal sacrifaces are being made--well, ok not that last one.

Just I weekly update that says something like, weekly update, the game is not on-line, yet.
That would be very helpful.
Thanks!

Vee

Fireworks blaster would be fun for a while but eventually they'd have to give her an adopted kid and turn her into a vampire.

Ironically I enjoyed PB and WS but hated the Veats

If you're really that anxious about it, just Google "City of Heroes" every week, I'm sure something talking about the deal being finalized will be within the first few results.

Alternately, just go take a look at any subforum here.  You won't even have to open a thread, I'm sure you'll see plenty about the rebirth.

I was split, enjoyed the hunters (all three...even made a straight (mostly) hunter build for fun, never liked the crab leg look). I don't like WS or the widows (although I MIGHT have gotten into a mind only widow...super blaster feel to them I am sure). I WANTED to like the PB, even made a few to keep trying them again and again, although I only wanted to be a human PB so maybe that was part of the problem. Real issue was no one I played with wanted a PB or WS on their team cuz of the nictus(?) spawning in missions can really suck.

Crabs felt like mage tanks but not enough damage to be a soloing type for my taste. Same issue with the Hunter I made, although I invested a TON of inf into that guy, he was so fun to play, just wish the spiderbots could be controlled ala MM skills. Would have been a MUCH better type of toon. The Bane spiders were (almost) like a stalker so they were decent.

If I could have it all, I would ask that APR do the following for the VEATS:

a) make the claw appearance customizable like the claws set (hated the claw look for Widows).
b) Make the crab legs look different (as a costume choice). For example, I always wanted the legs to be two on each side of the toon (extending from back like ribs) instead of over the head. This is why I made my Hunter even though he was sub-par when compared to the Crabbie I made.
c) make ANY pet (and this goes for ANY toon really) controllable like the MMs. I don't think that is asking too much really as most heroes/villains don't have a ton of pets like true MMs. I must admit I have always been a fan of the MM sets...they are so cool and the good sets are good enough to solo a LOT of missions, which made them extremely cool IMHO.
d) remove (or at least lessen) the limitations from PB/WS. I hate getting borked by those purple worm thingies. They blow and make everyone on my team hate bringing me with them.

They lowered it even further with CoH Freedom. You just have to have been subscribed, or have bought the unlock on the Paragon Market.  So you'll be able to make VEATs and HEATs right out of the box if/when the game comes back.

Generally I enjoyed fighting the Nictus spawns, I'd see a cyst and be "OOOOH, lots of things to kill!".  Honestly teams that were bigoted against khelds like that were generally scrubs or noobs, unwilling to learn how to deal with much in the game and generally crying cheap at everything and also being intolerant of other playstyles.  Usually if a team either;

1: Expected easy mode in everything without any buffs/debuffs/crowd control.

2: Expected defenders/controllers/corruptors to do nothing but healing.

3: Hated Peacebringers/warshades cause they didn't want to deal with cysts.

4: Had an excessive fear of knockback, even more-so with one of the above traits.

5: Only cared about experience per second, ESPECIALLY with one of the top two traits.

Then you had scrubs in the team.  They were unwilling to learn how to deal with anything and were intolerant of anything they couldn't beat at the same time.  They may have claimed to be experts but in reality, their unwillingness to learn the game was usually apparent.  I avoided such teams, I could only remember lots of debt with such players.  Which wasn't particularly fun for me.  Sure, if I die to making a stupid mistake, fine, but dying because teammates of mine were very bad and simultaneously unwilling to learn and expecting others to play exactly like them?  It sucked.
Currently; Not doing any streaming, found myself with less time available recently.  Still playing starbound periodically, though I am thinking of trying other games.  Don't tell me to play mmohtg's though please :).  Getting back into participating in VO and the successors again to.

Just out of curiousity. Anyone plan on PvP'n when it returns? I have a feeling that side of the game is going to be dead, unless everyone who still enjoyed it converges to one server.

Seperate side note. Anyone else hoping they only open a few servers to start. Open more as the population grows? That way theres a high population regardless. That was something i thought NC should have done towards the later yeaes.

Since it's I23, I don't plan to.  I wouldn't have minded trying pvp 1.0 with a pvp character, but not pvp 2.0.  But only in arena's with friends.  I hated the attitude of zone pvp.

I wouldn't say pvp would be dead just on life support. Remember when this game comes back everyone will be racing to get to l50 myself included :D
One day the Phoenix will rise again.

I would say that's accurate, well more like post i13 PvP is in a vegitative state soiling itself. Also the latter comments is true where people will be getting to 50. If there is any blip of PvP intrest possibly it will be 6 months after launch. Why 6 month. Old PvPers will more roll up a mind /fire Dom (literally the I win button. So much for Castle's diversity pipe dream) within the first 2 weeks and PvP with that. The problem is there will only be a hand full (or barley a hand full) and eventually get tired of fighting the same people with the same toon. After PvPer get their I win button more than likely they will start building other builds and PvP with them. By then 6 month will pass and more people will have 50s to potentially PvP.

It's clearly the beta version of Dragon's Tail.

Still better than the original version of Storm Kick.
