Look for a post made yesterday by someone named 'Shelly' (not going to post their last name). Nate's comments are in that thread.

I could not find anything. Why not just put the direct link to the post here?

Edit: I'll do it! Finally found it: https://www.facebook.com/groups/2205011305/permalink/10153032532101306/

Breakfast: Oatmeal with peanut butter, brown sugar, and chia seeds. Optional marshmallows, honey, raisins...  come to think of it, there's not a whole lot you can't put in oatmeal.
I used CIT before they even joined the Titan network! But then I left for a long ol' time, and came back. Now I edit the wiki.

I'm working on sorting the Lore AMAs so that questions are easily found and linked: http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Lore_AMA/Sorted Tell me what you think!

I have been a swtor subscriber since preorder. I cancelled my sub 2 weeks ago. swtor is being used to grind what cash they can from the customer base. their dev staff makes wildly contradictory actions and then lies about it, assuming they can be bothered to talk to their customers at all. horrible customer service that often doesnt even read the tickets they are closing.  dont waste your money.

Dude, my mains were an operative, and a marauder respectively since 2012

I -know- how stupid those bastards are. I only come back because there's an RP guild that I have a history with there.

I was half convinced that Castle was ten times the developer those guys would ever be.

You can also give LOTRO a try.  (Lord of the Rings Online).  the Free 2 play there is fairly open and expansive.  Plus, turbine points (equivalent of cartel coins in SWTOR) are worth a lot more and you make them a lot easier in game than cartel coins.

I've had a lifetime for years in LOTRO, but even the F2P players there do rather well, lots to do and see.  You can also buy expansions with turbine points, if you altoholic enough, you can get them fairly easily.

What's crap about the cartel market and coins for it in SWTOR is that one piece of gear/mount you want to buy can cost 20 bucks in cartel coins, as much as a regular expansion.

I think the reason I get bored with WOW so quickly is because I'm just tired of the mid-evil fantasy MMOs. That's why I was thinking about giving SWTOR another try. I'd go back to Secret World but it doesn't grab me. I'll look around some more. LOL!

Ty everyone. :)

...I couldn't figure out how to do a direct link, okay?!?! And you're seeing my post from 3 days ago lol - of course it's going to be harder to find, as there will be more people posting between then and now! LEAVE ME ALONE!!! *runs away crying, all dramatic-like*  :gonk: :gonk: :gonk:

*...then comes back* Okay, sorry. I'm back. I'm over it.

And speaking of that Facebook page...can we talk about how sociable and communicative Mr. Downes has been lately? He just made another post on the page earlier this morning (link: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10155115913305328&set=gm.10153041016406306&type=1&theater). Maaaaaaybe he's in a particularly good mood for some particular good reason...regarding a particular deal, about a particular gaaaaaaame...maaaaaybe I'm looking way too far into this...

God, I feel like he's some type of celebrity and I'm his personal paparazzo. BUT THIS IS WHAT IT'S COME TO, PEOPLE. THIS IS WHAT IT'S COME TO.

I don't understand the need to ask wither someone is under a NDA? Do we really need to know the obvious?

What does clarification do for us?

I am not allowed to say whether I can say if I can answer that - or not.
I prefer the Italian classic:

I don't know, I wasn't there, and if I WAS there, I was asleep.

I did realize that, and felt bad. Although the page seems to bump any thread with a recent post to the top, so the original timestamps for posts are all over the place.

I'm afraid I'm not at liberty to elaborate.

But can you elaborate on your liberty?

...Yeah. Think about that.

That's kind of funny, since WoW looks somewhat medieval fantasy on the surface, but it really couldn't be further from it. Let's see, it's got advanced steampunk contraptions ranging from airplanes to undersea monorails to rockets to helicopters. Magic so advanced that it's indistinguishable from technology. Aliens from other planets. Old Gods straight out of Lovecraft vs. semi-benevolent terraformers who create sentient constructs (that appear to be extremely advanced technology). Time travel. Dimension hopping space ships. And on and on.

It may be fantasy but it's such a mish-mash of random and eclectic ideas that it bears no resemblance to the much stricter worlds of Tolkien or something like Everquest.

I think you (CW) misunderstood - Blizzard is only a middling level of evil company. Someone like EA is a much higher level evil, and thus better suited for MMO management.

Ahh, that makes a lot more sense.

I still haven't tried WoW.  Is it worth a shot on free to play basis?

Aggelakis

Its free-to-play is trash. But it hooks pretty good anyway :) especially if you've got friends to play with or can find a guild right away.

I recommend looking for guilds before signing up, then one of them can refer-a-friend you and you get bonuses from it!

was WoW sued for their kungfu panda rip-off yet?
There is always another way. But it might not work exactly like you may desire.

A wise old rabbit once told me "Never give-up!, Trust your instincts!" granted the advice at the time led me on a tripped-out voyage out of an asteroid belt, but hey it was more impressive than a bunch of rocks and space monkies.

Thunder Glove

It's difficult to discern tone in text, so you may be kidding, but ... Pandaren predate the release of Kung-Fu Panda by a good five years.  (Heck, even the Pandawa, a parody of Pandaren found in another MMO, Dofus, predates Kung-Fu Panda by two years)

As for WoW itself... I used to play it a decade or so back, long before CoH. I didn't actually subscribe (at the time, their "F2P" was a week-long trial, so I created several accounts), and it's undergone a lot of changes since then.  But, for what it's worth, I enjoyed it, particularly Warlocks and Hunters, the pet classes.  (I played solo, so I tended towards Tanking pets - Voidwalker for Warlock, Scorpid for Hunter)

.... typing this up, I kinda want to try it again.
