Perhaps Mr. Copperfield will fall in love with Emma (by Jane Austen, of course) and for a honeymoon they will sail Eight Hundred Leagues on the Amazon, as penned by Jules Verne.

Should that adventurous young couple happen across a doctor named Frankenstein during their travels, I would hope they show his creation a little more understanding than his neighbors did.

I have Great Expectations that they will.

Continuing in their newfound spirit of keeping extraordinary company, the pair journey onward to magical Paris, wherein they find themselves sharing wine and a croissant with a reclusive figure known only as The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Following a trail of mysterious clues, that same couple might find themselves on The Island of Doctor Moreau while looking for a cure for their deformed host.

Perhaps the good doctor could hire Jane Eyre to care for the inhabitants.
Listen to the 'mustn'ts'. Listen to the 'don'ts'. Listen to the 'shouldn'ts', the 'impossibles', the 'won'ts'. Listen to the 'you'll never haves', then listen close to me... Anything can happen . Anything can be.

Good thing that they hired Jane there to babysit the island dwellers, because David and Emma found a treasure chest buried just above the high-water mark on the beach, and in it was a copy of the Kama Sutra

Yeah, they'll be busy for a bit.

Wow - David & Emma will be in their own Lost World (A Conan Doyle)...

houtex

Maybe they'll wander about and find their way to Metropolis.

healix

Jane might call David a Nimrod for leading them there.

Whoa... now there's an Oliver Twist in the plot. Did not see that one coming.

Merseine

Absolutely Triplash!  I mean, if they were on an island and somehow got transported to Metropolis, it's just another Paradise Lost.

In the interest of moving things forward I'd like to make a suggestion. For the tough letters like Q and X, maybe the first word doesn't need to start with it, as long as one of the words does. For instance, Warrior Queen of Mars. If it's only one word, it just needs to have the letter in it. Any objections?

Whew! For a while there I thought this thread had become a Remembrance of Things Past (or A la recherche du temps perdus)...

And who can forget Seabiscuit when it became such a popular movie?
"Frank! It's the love boat to Cuba! Shuffle board and pineapples filled with rum. Know what they do? They put little paper umbrellas sticking out the top so that when it rains, it don't thin out the liquor."

How many times has The Time Machine been made, I wonder, into visual form...?

"... and the head coach, wants no sissies, so he reads to us from something called Ulysses..."

Extra music related bonus.

Think how much less epic the tale of Ulysses would have been had he made his Voyage in a Balloon....

True, but he'd get some awesome Twitter pics that way.

Of course they'd be nowhere near as popular as a live video feed from on board a Martian tripod during the War of the Worlds. Then again not much would compare to that. Live feed from the Tardis maybe. Security footage from the Enterprise.

...Dangit I'm wandering again. Where were we?

JWBullfrog

I think we've made it to Xanadu. At least, what there is of it. It seems our young couple stopped by Coleridge's house to ask directions and distracted him.
