Latest episode was a really good story. More Isaac, please.

Still catching up.  Just say Majority Rule, but didn't like it as much as some of the others. I think it was hitting a little too close to reality with the up/down vote buttons.  I suppose the old Star Trek series made some people uncomfortable back in the 1960s when covering certain topics, too.  I only ever saw it in re-runs as a kid, so I really didn't get the morality plays they were going for.

I liked the commentary of that episode, but then I am very anti-social media. I do wish the episode would have done more to flesh out LaMarr, but he was still pretty cardboard.

He's kind of a poor man's Cat so far.

Because only beautiful aliens are allowed to kiss?

Aliens from 3 to 10 are allowed to kiss.
Aliens below a 3 are not allowed to kiss.

Hey, I don't make up these rules.

3?! Eww!  :P

Anyway, funny episode, but they didn't properly address the rapey concerns of Darulio's pheromones.

I saw so many TNG episodes in that one... Where No One Has Gone Before, Remember Me, Frame of Mind...

One more episode this season.

I am pretty happy with the way the show has come along.  I don't know if the humor is getting better-- sometimes it seems like the most unrealistic thing of all that people who do stunts like we see tonight are able to continue to serve on a starship-- but in general I'm glad it gets another season. I do hope we learn something more about the Union though-- pastiches are fine and dandy, but ideally the Orville's future should have some outstanding features of its own other than a lack of transporters. :D

I'm glad that LaMarr got some more development.

But maybe they're making him too much like Geordi? Geordi went from conn to engineering too.

As long as they don't give his vacant helm position to one of the Doc's kids or something...

OMG, how did I not make the connection before that the ship's doctor has kids on board?

So, Season Finale was pretty good.

I'm pleased the show is getting a second season.

I love the show, but sometimes I feel like it was like a light snack.  Perhaps because many of the episodes are a combined variant of 1-3 previous Star Trek shows so I've seen it all before?  I'm glad they're getting another season, but I hope there will be some new stories (yeah yeah, there are no NEW stories any more).

And show more Kelly.  :)

I don't understand the fascination with Alara on reddit; she seems so child-like in appearance (unless reddit is full of teens, emotionally).

I found the finale too cliched and it really brought Kelly down. She's usually the mature one, but she was a huge calamity throughout this one.

The only thing good about this episode was Ed not realizing the admiral was still on the screen.

Overall, the show is really just "meh" for me. I hope for a drastic improvement next year, else I won't bother with a third season.

I've enjoyed the show, but didn't care for the finale.
