Your reply confused me at first... because you replied to the ice blaster build about the Peacebringer build LOL!

Like I said... Never played a PB past 20... so really not informed at all about them... and NEVER played a Warshade. Every other AT I have played to 50... just not those. I think my highest Warshade was like level 10 lol.

I'll look at the build and see how I would fit LightForm into it... in a little bit. :)

You don't want to skip Radiant Strike or Solar Flare, those are the best single target and aoe attacks respectively for a pb. Photon seekers is also something you will want to have, while tactics is unnecessary because of inner light. Kheldians require a different approach from other builds because they were designed somewhat strangely. I'll try to post something later to help out on this one.

Yeah like I said... I have no real experience with PB or WS... neither of them really interested me. I took the approach of a ranged Human PB. So if I were going to change the build to allow for Radiant Strike I would simply swap out Tactics. My logic though was that most stuff is going to be ranged from you anyways so that was why I didn't take anything melee.

PB/WS are the only ATs I have never taken to 50. So thanks to anyone else who has a much better understanding of those two ATs and provides a build for them :) As for any other AT... I'm more than happy to do builds for people to give them ideas on their toons possible builds :)

Here's a quick one for a no purple/pvp/ATO enhancements pb. Kept the toggle shields in case you want to exemp, but lightform covers everything otherwise. The most important thing for a pb is recharge to get light form, hasten, and the heals back as quickly as possible. Second concern is endurance consumption, because light form crashes 50% of your endurance when it wears off and the attacks can be end heavy. After that it's a matter of preference, but I usually try to get psi res/def since you don't get it anywhere from pb powers, and some version of defense to complement the resistance. With this one I grabbed a bunch of psi resistance primarily, but you could switch that and go for general defense too.

First, I do appreciate your time and effort.

Secondly - my own highest PB is ...level 26, I think. The one thing I can tell you about them is the human only Aliens don't really fit into a "ranged" or "melee" type character. Although, Nova and Dwarf forms aside, the warshade has more ranged attacks and the PB has more melee attacks - at least, that's my memory of the two.

I did see a few things in the ice/mental blaster build which I found ...interesting. Some, I gather were just a matter of choosing the wrong enhancement within the choice of 6. For example, an LotG def/end/rech and an LotG 7.5%, instead of a Def or a def/end plus the 7.5% rech. within a toggle.

I also noticed the choice of both SS and SJ. I chose to drop SJ (I mentioned CJ, perhaps I confused you, or perhaps you liked the options of SJ for redside - much more useful there than SS)

My main started off as an ice/ice/cold blaster - but in pursuit of badges, and with multiple builds and respecs available, I did change him to ice/ice/Mace mastery.
I found it useful to drop the spiderlings and let them "tank" for me from time to time, while waiting for my incarnate pets to recharge. Sometimes, I'd try to solo AV's or monsters - just to see if I could hang on long enough to whittle them down. With enough temp powers, anything's possible. Never could get a monster down - although I got pretty close with Echoai. Silly pets never did last quite long enough.

I also had a fire/mental blaster - which was a real hoot to play! A great deal of fun, that toon! Good defense, and with Drain Psyche, it was awesome. Nova, pop a blue, Drain Psyche on the next mob, Rain of Fire, Fire Ball, tk on whoever was still standing. A great deal of options with that build. Looking forward to seeing if ice/mental will be that much fun.

Yeah those Def/End/Rech in Maneuvers and Weave should have been just Defense.
I personally like SS and SJ together which is why I chose SJ.

I had a Fire/Mental/Cold blaster (Was one of my only 2 blasters) other was a Fire/Devices/Flame (In preparation of i24 and the insta-snipe).

Hopefully the build I did gave you some ideas for your future build :)

I am constantly doing builds.. it's like playing CoH a little for me... let's me imagine the character fighting etc.

Here's the build I came up with.

To be fair, given the constraints you put on yourself - no purples, no flashy AT specific IOs, your build was more than durable and all around awesomeness.

Me, I already know if I have to buy all the packs to get what I need, I'm prepared to do so. So, I was more than willing to use the +5 options as well as a few set of the flashy purples and stuff. Here's mine. I have no idea how long it will take me to get the cyto hami-o, but if I have to lead the raid myself, I'll do it as often as need be. As for the pvp io's, I know a few guys who love that stuff who might hook me up if I bait myself out for their amusement. And of course, there's always the market.

The PB human build, that will take me some in game playing to get a final on that. There's just some things I have to experience firsthand to understand. Combat attack chains, the utility of an attack given a playstyle, that sort of thing.

So you are doing the ultra super sexy builds hehe. I am sticking to the basic builds that are not reliant on things like Summer Event or pvp hehe. The only pvp IO I really ever used (outside of my pvp toons) was the Gladiator Armor +3%. At one point I had around 50-60 of those and would just give them to friends etc (Back when they were 2 billion +).

I agree with you on a PB build...which is why I had so much trouble making one...never played one LOL. I will probably make one that does have Light Form but doesn't focus on Light Form as it's means of surviving etc.

Hoping more people request builds...it truly is a lot of fun for me to make them. I have made all the combos I personally want, but it's fun to try and create combos I haven't thought of or wanted as well. :)

Here's the build I came up with.

So with the news that CoH will probably be issue 23... I must rethink some builds. I guess my insta-snipe toons will have to wait for CoH 1.5 hehe..which I am fine with :)

NA will be in CoHi23... Bio Armor will not. We will be seeing everything that was LIVE (Not on test) the day the game shut down. :)

I hear ya. I'm not even sure when NA and Bio armor came out.

Ok, this should be an interesting one. I plan on doing just an SO build for this when I get home, just for leveling purposes  8)

This was my main, that I've been reworking since I12 when I first started :P

At the Great Off-Turning he was an EM//REG//ENERGY Brute focused on perma-stunning AV's ( which was awesome and hillarious ), but I think it needs a little more survivability since I won't be able to pimp him right out of the box like I have the last 15 - 20 times I remade him >.< (yes, he needed all that end cause he was slotted purely to stun, even toggles barely had end redux :p )

I'm thinking that it's probably more workable to go : DM//REG//SOUL

Travel: I plan on using Beast Run & Combat Jump. Maybe hover for the convenience in things like ITF's or Hamis.
Avoid: Hasten. The glowy hands drive me insane.
Must Have: Dark Consumption & Soul Drain. ALL Regen powers. Revive can be the last if it needs to be :P
Patrons: Either Energy for Physical Perfection, or Soul for Darkest Night.

Good luck, looking forward to what you can do with all this  :D

Hmmm.. after much tinkering, this is what I came up with.

I know it'd not SO's, but if I can figure out what  I should be aiming for it would save me having to respec and whatnot :P

I feel.. vulnerable only having melee & s/l def, even though its close to soft cap.

Also, its pretty awkward that even with spiritual I'm not perma DP >.>

Something tells me i should have been going for energy and aoe instead of melee.. but I can't remember the details at the moment :/

Or maybe just go full recharge to spam the big attacks / heals and hope for the best :P

anywho, peruse and crit pls :P

I will give your build a look and try to do one late tonight.

No hasten hmmm...I don't rely on incarnates to fill gaps in builds so not sure what I will do if I am trying to up your defense and your recharge hehe.

I shall see what i come up with though.

Hehe, I don't normally take Incarnates into account, that was just me trying to see how much defence I could squeeze out, and at what cost.

Its safe to say that being capped + darkest night + darkness debuff is a little excessive.

I could probably aim for ~30 - 35% and still be 'safe'.

I generally push builds to extremes just to see how the numbers add up, or if they can be playable with just a little tweaking :P

Good luck >.<

Here's a toon I was playing with at shutdown but never leveled beyond 26:

Defender
Primary: Trick Arrow
Secondary: Assault Rifle
Power Pool: Medicine
Eventual PPP: Mace Mastery
Travel: no preference but I was using Super Jump

I was aiming for a swiss-army-knife-maximum-redraw, just because.  I hadn't even really started to work on IOs yet, I saved those for the high-30s.

Show me what you got :)
