After being being ridiculed for being impatient and then told unless a "promise" was made I shouldn't quote, I feel completely redeemed.

But, I remain apologetic for being so rude about it.

yes, it's a free program. yes, people are working on it for free and owe us nothing. I just hate (flashback in progress) being given a reason to have big anticipations and then let down - not once but serveral times. I so regret bumping this thread and asking if an update was in the work with an estimated date.

Funny thing is you are getting all excited over a maybe on a freebie. I would wait patiently after all, aside from the recent Dom changes and PvP enhances, nothing big has changed. Mids still works fine and I use it daily!!!

I'd rather be told or read at the beginning

I'm working on it and it should be out when I get it finished. That may be tomorrow or by the end of the year.

At least I'd know not to bother having any anticipation of using an updated product in the near furtue. I'm sure Steiner will do this next time there's a game update that affects Mid's :o

I'm gonna sit back the rest of the day and wait. If I see the update, I'll download it, come back to say thank you and then hit that donation button. If not, oh well, I'm sure he/they gave it their best shot at getting out to us no matter what was said.

Actually we should let Prez in on our little secret now that Mid is about to be release.

Prez... we actually all decided through PMs that it would be fun to keep posting it would be out soon, just to piss you off cause you are a spoiled, impatient, little brat (your words not mine).

So there... the cat is out of the bag. But only because it will be out soon. ...or maybe a little later than soon?

I knew I shouldnt have let Steiner work on this program. Due to the lateness and absence of an update 8 hours after said release time of 12:00 P.M. US/Eastern time, I am hereby taking away Steiner's abilitys of modding this program. Also, since no one can be responsible enough to keep track of the rapid updates, and I am too busy to do so IRL, I am shutting down the Mid's Hero/Villain Designer update and data server. There will be no more future updates to Mid's Hero/Villain designer. Thanks!

P.S.: I am holding the serverz hostage until everyone donates 100 THOUSAND dollars each! MUHA HA HA HA!!

I'm not going to read a thing (new) on this thread only because I know from past experiences that some people just can't be understanding of other people and I really don't want to read anything that will discourage my decision in releasing this.

Update:
Ran into a few snags, seems Mids' changed the way the info get's databased due to Vista's UAC all updates, including database updates, will be required a full download & install (from this point forward)... and because of this the file that my data drone prepared with all the new correct enhancements is useless... however I type at about 100wpm so transferring the data over now that it's there was beyond faster than I originally thought. (still took a few hours as you can see... but still that's fast! lol).

Summary: It's still on for today! Might be the absolute wee hours of the night, but I made a promise and I don't break them! I might bend them, but I don't break them. I would consider releasing it the day I promised instead of the exact time a bend and I hope you will all consider it the same.

Ok, back to work, maybe 2 hours of work left to do, I have to add some procs for the pvp ios and modify some powers that didn't allow you to "green light" (activate) them as toggles before and the new one will be released.

Again thank you for understanding the situation, a lot came up in a small amount of time but I've been working on this thing since 3am last night/this morning and have only stopped for Bio and food... so :D It's gunna be a relaxing weekend.

I will most likely be required that you do a complete uninstall of prior versions of Mids, backing up anything you think you would need to, I'm Steiner... believe me when I say backing up your data is ALWAYS a good option when using things I've touched, lol.

BACKUP EVERYTHING YOU HOLD PRECIOUS IN THE MXD DIRECTORY! I'm new to this and unsure of the adverse effects of my toying, lol.

The only thing that is missing is the procs for the chance for 10% repel resist on the PvP IOs. My data drone and I are going to find a better way to include those into the procs.

Things You Should Know:
The PVP IOs are actually TWO sets. The set with the PVP set bonuses has "(PvP)" after its name and the one without is obviously the PvE bonuses.

If you need to contrast the set bonuses, simply hold down shift and right-click the power, it will toggle the comparison slots (not new, just relatively unused). And repeat to flip them back.

Yes we plan to incorporate the bonuses for the totals into the PVP/E flag in the upper right hand corner of MxD by the next release.

I'm aware there are going to be issues, but no one is allowed to bug me until Monday about MxD! lol... but seriously I need to sleep and I'm kind of disgusted with MxD right now, so I will break myself away before it breaks me.

Now that I have my head fully wrapped around the ins-and-outs of MxD it will be MUCH less painless for everyone to get out future releases.
