It just occurred to me that I'm now living in a Bizarro universe where "has there been any news" has replaced "when's the next issue" and "the game is never coming back" has replaced "the game will be dead in six months."

Also, the other day I was thinking about all the weird similarities between the current mobile game I'm playing, Contest of Champions, and City of Heroes.  I mean, its a game about superheroes with eerily similar power origins (magic, mutant, science, magic, tech, skill aka natural, and cosmic) where the end game revolves around grinding content to collect shards that can be combined into crystals that allow you to level your characters.

But today apparently Kabaam decided to address a major power imbalance in the game by targeting two abililties in particular: block proficiency and willpower.  Block proficiency allowed players to enhance (some of) their characters so that when they blocked they took no damage.  They eliminated that capability, so you can no longer decrease damage taken while blocking beyond a certain point.  Willpower granted players a significant health recovery when debuffed.  Basically, being debuffed could actually heal you back to full if built strongly enough.

You can imagine what the official forums currently look like.  But to me, its all good because its all so nostalgic.  The Kabaam devs are getting assaulted on the game forums for enforcing the resistance cap and for nerfing instant healing. 

Its like Issue 1 and Issue 2 all over again.  Ah, memories.


Ooh, bonus points.  According to the devs, they will be refunding the costs (which were relatively high) for any player that currently owns Willpower.  Some players have demanded that since they bought Willpower long ago, respeced out of it, and then did that back and forth that they should be refunded *all* of those costs.  Because ... ?  They bought it, they got exactly what they paid for, and they speced out of it.  Now, long after that, Willpower is being changed and (some of) the players now want those costs refunded as well.

Its sad, but hey, its not *my* problem any more, so its also hilarious.

"Space is like alphabet soup - which I'll prove at some point at a time of my choosing, perhaps from beyond the grave as like all true geniuses my work will only be appreciated by humanity in a distant future long after the lizard people have shown their presence, which due to my calculations is now on course to happen sometime rather than not at all I assure you, as I've met them and my math is there because I've proven Einstein wrong on paper it's just getting the invisible ink to show has proven an issue, perhaps later I'll post it after I work out a few kinks that seem to be weighed down by pesky facts that keep popping up.

Possibly none of that is actually true, but I wasn't aware that lying was wrong at the time, at least, not this lie, which was quite different to all the other lies I'd told up to this point, however once humanity is ready to accept that and all the bad people (other liars) are gone, then the world will be ready for my works, at least according to the theory I've just come up with while beating my head against the desk whilst crying "why Josh why must you always lie?", as I always do when I'm doing my best work.

I'll be back as soon as I think everyone has forgotten how the last time I spoke ended, because the world needs my lies, just so that the truth can come out as an end result, and not due to people having done the work the right way the first time - as I think I've proven multiple times, or at least I will once I deem that people have evolved beyond their petty meaningless pre - Joshex accepting lives and simply allow me to rule with an iron fist (and lies), because that won't incite anyone to the violence that currently plagues the planet already I assure you, because I've proven it I promise.
