In a parallell universe the game was never shut down, i like to think that iam sitting there and playing

There's also a parallel universe where Champs Online is a break-away smash and CoH was lousy, stupid, boring and redundant.  Not that CO is any of those things, mind you.

WOOOOO!  A good friend of mine just found my long-missing, thought-lost sunglasses in their case under his passenger seat!  :D

I wonder where we exist, on the shrimp/no-shrimp scale.  That would seem to depend on the limits of the shrimp universe.  A universe with nothing but shrimp has limits on the amount of shrimp that can exist, before shrimp ignite into stars or collapse into black holes (both of which are not shrimp).

For some reason, this made me think of this XKCD "What If".  And props to him for using the phrase, "The mole planet is now a giant sphere of meat."

Welcome to issue 32... Some more power sets (Goliath and Dinosaur Mastermind) and the latest round of enhancements for post incarnate systems.  There are a few patches to help speed up qol play and background stuff to fix a few lingering items since the new engine went live in issue 30.

Lore wise the Sister Psyche is in Red Widow's body running Arachnos, Statesman 3 is banished to Striga with Fusionette and the Next Evil is starting to appear in the temple under the Moon base....

Made of jelly beans? That sounds unpleasant. Why couldn't it have been a relatively harmless parallel universe, like the world without shrimp?

Why does this remind me of the Butterfly Effect Halloween episode of the Simpsons where Homer creates a reality where it rains donuts?

Sinistar

Supergroup bases: They were nice to have but when they made the trains linked to all zones and added portals to Praetoria, having all the teleporters in one's base became almost unnecessary.

I was thinking that if bases could be modified to store characters in when logged out, that may not be so bad. Log in to a character in base, then use a teleporter to go to the zone for the mission or TF you want to run. When done for the day, return to base to log out.

That worthless excuse of a game, CO, had suspended animation tubes in the moonbase as I recall that you could put a character into, but they wouldn't be stored in base when offline.

IF COH bases could be modified to allow character storage that could be a fun  thing.

Also modify all teleporters so that when you appear in the zone you appear outside the hospital for the zone.  Eliminates any risk of materializing in a bad spot in a zone if your character is a bit low in level.

I always thought it would have been interesting to see if you log off a toon in your base, they will do random idle animations or interact with the environment until that same toon logs back in. Meaning you can have 1 account and if you and your SG drop in alts, you can see your alts interact with your main.

I had a similar thought for day jobs, and even contacts themselves having routines - much like the dynamic Ai in Oblivion or Skyrim...

Ha I only can think of now is floods of AI conversations starting, "I used to be a superhero like you, till I took a fireball to the knee" and, "Damn there is another building attack, I'll mark it on your map..."

Arcana

Now that would have been an interesting ten year veteran reward: you get to become an NPC.  You submit your costume file and a set of NPC dialog (that would have to get approved), and then you start randomly spawning around the city.

Probably not as creepy as the NPC named Jesus carrying the two pieces of lumber around.

Heroette

Speaking of carrying lumber around.  I was driving in my complex where I live and a couple of guys were working on a fence.  So the one guy grabs the huge 8-12ft beam and placed it on his shoulder and start walking around with it.  And lo and behold, I thought of Kings Row.  I should have taken a photo.   ;D

I bet when he started getting threatened by Clockwork it got really nostalgic.

Were the Clockwork officially a Nemisis plot, or was that just me pretending because they looked similar to Nemisis troops?

Just you, apparently, unless Nemesis planned for the Clockwork King get all moony about Penelope Yin. I wouldn't put it past him. :-p

Now, there's a story for you!

Mender Silos goes back in time down the ages and arrives in time to engineer Penny Yin's abduction by the Lost, for the express purpose of pushing the King to commit to a relationship, thereby stabilizing his deteriorating sanity and giving him a stable path back to the world of social interaction with real people so that when he finally emerges as the Psychic Clockwork King, he emerges as the hero he always dreamed of being instead of the misguided villain who destroys humanity.

All that crap about Incarnates? A smoke screen. The real reason for showing up in our time is to draw the attention of the Batallion away from the real ultimate weapon - the Psychic Clockwork King.

That Nemesis. What a guy!

Currently; Not doing any streaming, found myself with less time available recently.  Still playing starbound periodically, though I am thinking of trying other games.  Don't tell me to play mmohtg's though please :).  Getting back into participating in VO and the successors again to.
