Also the PP cost for a month's access to IOs was only a few dollars; far less than a month's sub. While i don't recall the actual price anymore i think it worked out to something like four months of IO access equaling one month of subscription.

it was like $2.00

Perfect World Games have the worst unfair lockbox system of them all and now they are trying to bait you in with perks for opening so many of each lockbox. Thing is if they were anything like CoX's superpacks where you got worthwhile rewards in every pack I wouldn't have a problem with them... I'm afraid to look at my zen wallet because I know I spend 100's of dollars just trying to get legion gear in CO and that blasted Galor Class Warship in STO. Emphasis on the word "Trying" Since I never got anything special...

I'll say this about CO right now.  pancake vehicles.  Becaauuuse....

http://co-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=292161

Thing is, lockboxes are even less valuable now, than ever before, other than costumes.  Ok, fine and dandy but, they had plasma shear as much as it was before and now they make it useless, when people spent so much on vehicles, hundreds of dollars on them, and now they are utterly useless now.

It's a total bait and switch and a total scam.

Edit:  And i get a feeling it was more because the idiot developers, their brains are not in their skulls, they've fallen out from trying to hard to please everyone, and failing to please anyone because they try to please everyone.  They nerfed...plasma shear again....when it wasn't even...ugh, even more-so since they changed it from something I'd suggested and that they did implement.  Morons.

I chose a day, today, to ask them again as I did today, "Do you guys feel like competent developers yet?".  Unlike today, i'd like an answer on that day.

I also chose to ask the idiots on the forums if they feel really good about themselves asking for the kind of stupid stuff they do that only drives players away.

Another Edit: And i'm utterly ashamed of seeing that, utterly ashamed, and I don't like having to ask that question, but hey, it just drives the point many have made over CO.
Currently; Not doing any streaming, found myself with less time available recently.  Still playing starbound periodically, though I am thinking of trying other games.  Don't tell me to play mmohtg's though please :).  Getting back into participating in VO and the successors again to.

First of all, when I said "I hope something comes together soon", I was referring to CoH. Sorry I wasn't more specific. Anyways I didn't realize that the topics were suddenly being policed.

Its not being policed we just had mutiple efforts running into each other here. CoT, Valiance, H&V and APR. So this thread was basically moved to being all CoH Original Extra Crispy flavor.

I wasn't trying to be rude - just point out that if you want news from CoT try speaking to their folks it keeps things from getting more confusing.

I know your pain, I have spent that and more on trying to get the temporal ship, and have gotten nothing but vendor trash and if I am lucky.

There is a certain perceived stigma attached to CoH, "Free to Play Forever", even though forever wasn't really very long...

"Free to Play Forever" started with issue 21 of COH, which went Live on Sept 27, 2011 and lasted until shutdown on Nov 30, 2012.  So NCSoft's definition of "Forever" is 1 Year, 2 Months and 3 Days (and probably 4 Hours, 5 minutes and 6 seconds...) in duration.  Now to make the "Forever" Demotivational Poster using the advertising shot and the facts... grin.

I'm pretty sure 1 year, 2 months, 3 days is the exact scientific definition of forever.

Let's just hope that when we get back, Paragon City is SPOILER ALERT!!

...not in the same state as New York was when Peter Parker got back from the Secret War in episode 64 of the Spiderman Animated Serie, which means, completly destroyed by the real false green goblins, Kingpin and Spider-Carnage! :P

I had a nightmare the other day where this happened and this song was playing : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JD3O5w5TxPo&list=PL7F55A206329DA834&index=8

I wave my head every time I think about what must have happened to the city we fought so hard to protect while we were all gone  and there was no one to protect it...

My main account was subbed from a week or so after launch until shutdown. Going f2p wouldn't have affected me very much aside from the relatively small amount of time i spent running Incarnate content, but i still stayed subbed since i felt it was worth it to support the development of the game.
I was forced into f2p due to a nasty bout of unemployment and quickly found out the only things I couldn't do were Incarnates and....using my base.    The latter was the one that hurt.   Couldn't pay rent or anything.   I found out I could get inside by dying and choosing to rez in the base so I at least got to walk around inside a few times.

I've managed to work my way up to an extreme state of poverty so I'm ready to sub again.

Depends on what you're doing. It's not too long to spend on an all-expenses paid vacation in Majorca, for example...but it could very well be considered "forever" if it's the amount of time you have to spend watching a loop of 'Son-in-Law' with Pauly Shore.

With Pauly Shore as in, "He's in the movie!"

or with Pauly Shore as in, "He's sitting next to you providing color commentary on the movie!"

Because the latter would be far, far worse, IMO.

You know, I like that perspective... ;) Much more than mine actually! loll Which made me think...

will any of you make any change to your character when we come back? Like, personally, I will write a bit of lore to explain what happened to Jenn Space during the last 2 years and I'll probably make a new costume! For all this time, the people of Paragon City thought she had left them but she was just hiding her identity for a reason that is yet to be determined! XD

Yeah, I always got buyer's remorse after I purchased even one lock box key... fortunately (or not?) for me, I love Star Trek and purchased a lifetime sub pretty quickly, so I get Zen every month... some of which I can spend on lock box keys. Despite them being "free" I still get buyer's remorse...

I mean, I don't really play anymore, so there's that, too.

There's a thread about this: http://www.cohtitan.com/forum/index.php/topic,10274.0.html

If the game itself starts up right where it left off, story wise, I don't see any reason to come up with any sort of RP reason for a gap that the game doesn't recognize as existing.

Not that there aren't many interesting story hooks regarding the whole "reality disappeared for two years and I'm the only one that knows" sort of thing, but I'm just not feeling it, personally.
I used CIT before they even joined the Titan network! But then I left for a long ol' time, and came back. Now I edit the wiki.

The most important thing is, we can vote with our wallet and not support that economic model.
