Chuck's a bit long in the tooth.  We're looking for someone 6'-ish high, muscular, 40-ish old, and charismatic if we're casting States.

Further note:  Under no circumstances will Ben Affleck be cast as any sort of "caped crusader."
That ship has sailed!

Why? Just curious.

Honestly, I stay away from Steam because it confuses me. I had "signed up" once, and then it asked me for friends. I realize that many of you are close to, or perhaps older than me, but I know with 100% certainty that my married friends did not and would not be playing a video game in their free time. They've got wives, kids, yards and stuff. I've got a yard and stuff, but I pay someone to take care of the yard cuz it's just too darned hot out in Alabama during the Summer to suit me. Since I don't have a wife or kids at home, I can afford to do this. Some of them can, but don't.

The other reason is because sometimes, I want to play solo. In fact, that was more often than not. Why would I want Steam to tell people I was online and playing a game? Suppose I had just blown them off for an impromptu MSR? Why would I want it known what I was doing?
It's just an extra thing that wants to run in my computer's background, too. I sure don't like that.

I suppose if I were college age and all my frat brothers were playing these games, it'd be a useful feature. Maybe not. But for me, it'd be just a waste of my time trying to figure out all the settings and stuff. But, that's just me, I'm sure. (Mind you, it's been at least 3 years since I looked at it, so it might have changed. )

The Chuck Norris suggestion was bit of a joke. (Sorry for leaving out the  ;)).  A lot of superheroes movies are driven by the strength and charisma of the villains Like the both Jokers in the Batman movies, great villains make great heroes.  So who should play Scirocco and Ice Mistral?

I like "The Rock" as States, maybe Vin Diesel as Posi. Tom is more of a Manticor or Synapse type.

He has the arrogance/ego/superiority for Manticore, from what I saw while rescuing Manticore. And they're both short.

(In defense of my assessment of him, Cruise's first "Mission: Impossible" movie
Spoiler for Hidden:
ruined Jim Phelps by making him a traitor
so that Cruise's character could become the IMF's big hero. Sounds like ego to me.)

To short, and way to old. But Terry Crews as Marauder, Win!

I was just going to suggest that.

I've heard James Franco wants the Statesman role. :)

I call dibs on the small role of Shadowy Figure. My global was Shade. after all.
Cogito, Ergo... eh?

James Franco as States, he needs to start working out, big time! I like the guy, but he looks like a sidekick.

*Frowningly re-reads these sentences a few times over*

100% confidence in the CHANCE of this deal happening. Well, we all have that do we not? And it has all ridden on NCSoft since day 1. If they don't want to deal, then that's it.

I have 100% confidence in the *chance* of a lot of stuff: this is a meaningless statement.

I have zero confidence in this sort of statement thrown out into the ether like this. Someone trying to make themselves look important, is what it usually turns out to be. I'll pay attention when someone CREDIBLE says: "The ink is dry on the transfer paperwork signatures."

There's a firm possibility of a definite maybe that it may happen...

As much as I don't like his attitude in RL. Make fun of him as much as you want. I'll take the video of you paying the price. Win, win for us both. Get well soon :D

Okay, before I go on vacation, the final results of the "what to name the mystery development team until they reveal" contest

I make the vote total:

15  George
15  Devs2b
15  Ouroborous
12  NEMESIS
10  Menders
9   Mysterions
9   Susan
9   Sphinx
7   NADs
5   Rebooters
5   KHELD
3   Resurrectors,
3   HEAT
3   Arcanatime
2   HORROR
1   RAIDER
1   FRUITSALAD
1   Demigods

But it's Tony's site, so the OFFICIAL winner of the contest is:
"Hail Mary" team -- because that what Tony's calling them in the meta post

Though I'm quite pleased to see that some variant of "Mysterions" seems to have caught on.

Okay I'm off to Florida for a week but will try to get online enough to see if there is a Magnificent Revelationtm in my absence.

What, is the hack going to visit my house and assault me?

Spare me.

Tom might be better suited to the role of Statesman's not-so-plucky sidekeck, Timmy, a short and annoying man who gets killed off in the first episode, to the delight of many.

He doesn't have the height, build, or talent to play Statesman.

Have you seen him lately?  Unless you're holding a platter of Big Macs or something, you're probably safe.  And even then, I think you can outrun him.  :)

Classy. Hopefully now the team will be more picky now who they have their "moments of weakness" and share info with.

Speaking in general: As a matter of fact, I am now angry about this Robert person - whoever he might be - saying he's logging on to FB or wherever Monday, and if there isn't an official announcement, he'll be the one to make one?! What gives him the right?!

How dare he try to steal the new buyer's thunder like that?! Unless he is one of them, which I doubt! They have a right to make that announcement themselves, or to pick a mouthpiece who will do it for them. Its not this Robert person's business to do so, unless I'm really missing something here?

We all want this game back. Some people need to go sit down somewhere and hush until notified otherwise. This Robert person could lead the charge to the chairs, I am almost wondering if he's actually trolling the CoX community. "Pssst, watch how fast I can get them wound up!! heehee" .....yeah, NO. A dangerous game to play.

Until I hear from Ironwolf that it's legit, I'm not going to believe anything anyone else posts. He's the only one that has total credibility in this instance.
