Let me just say this. Every time that I find myself overwhelmed by the emotions and thoughts (positive or negative) related to this thread and ones elsewhere about the topic, I just watch the Unity video again and it puts everything back in perspective:

As I said before, if the game ever comes back that should be the official return video.

Well, it was reasonable in design, because it made things run away from it - so they'd get ticked with a bunch of little damage but run away from it and the rest of the ticks would be wasted.

It wasn't reasonable in practice, because it was so easy to get critters to stay in place for the whole duration if you had any sort of mezzing power. lol

Or Foot Stomp. "Have a SEAT, this is going to be HOT!"

Putting the Overwhelming Force Knockdown proc in Burn was hilariously satisfying.

I remember being able to spawn 6 fire imps and then an additional 6 with perma hasten. After soloing and having my butt handed to me for 31 levels, it was nice to have my minions devour purples while I sat there and giggled like a school girl.
If I was a Jedi, there's a 100% chance that I'd use The Force inappropriately.

wait does that mean werewolfs?? :D

I am down for a new Werewolf set, if we get better-looking feet to go with it. And a better looking dog head.

They could always remake claws to also have animations for nail-based claw animations and weapons.
Currently; Not doing any streaming, found myself with less time available recently.  Still playing starbound periodically, though I am thinking of trying other games.  Don't tell me to play mmohtg's though please :).  Getting back into participating in VO and the successors again to.

I wonder if Shinedown would license the rights to use their song for a reasonable amount (not to mention the free publicity). I don't think I'll ever be able to think of anything else as more appropriate to be the official CoH theme should it relaunch.

i was imagining Dual Irons as in golf clubs...

112 pages now. i'm beginning to think we will actually hit over 150 before the end of the month.

Golf clubs, eh? Huh... now I'm picturing a ranged attack set for some reason......

I *love* that video. I can't even watch it without replaying it like three or four times in a row. And I swear, it punches me straight in the feels *every time*.

I think this was pretty much what Savage Melee was going to be.

Did they take that fear out of Burn at some point?   I thought I heard that.

Yes they did..  for tankers at least.. my scrapper seemed to still have issues with it...

Oh hell yes, I had a SS/EA Brute that I cant wait to get back on/recreate Foot stomp and hay maker where so satisfying to use I have pins and needles thinking about it......brb just going to visit YouTube for a bit  :)

I had a SS/EA Brute.. One of the best Brutes and in my Top Ten of my best builds ever..

Softcapped to S/L/E, Perma Hasten, Perma Rage, Perma Energize (which is really hard). Energy Drain easy to perma,  And Footstomp with the Ground Punch animation recharging in like 5/5 seconds.. Plus the oh yeah... Loved that guy... I think he was the first guy I got most of the Incarnate slots for.. Miss him...

The City of Heroes Remains video gains another layer of relevancy with it's ending in light of current events... a sign maybe?

I was actually a bit messed up by it when I first realized who the leader of the unity squad at the beginning was...

Another amazing video. I particularly love the lyric/action combination that occurs around 4:33-4:43. It helps that lyrical moment was my favorite from the television show / album that song was taken from.

Not too long after my wife and I started playing, we did a Synapse TF with a member of the Angry Angels SG.  My wife ended up getting an invite to join them (I was on the character in my avi pic, so didn't), and out of curiosity I went out and googled to see what I could learn about the ladies.  One of the things I found is, in retrospect, probably a big reason I fell in love with CoH, if not *the* reason.

The videos by Samuraiko, Angelus Animi, Leandro, and others all reflect the spirit of what I came to love about the game so much.  This one, especially the shot on the IP bridge, is where it all started for me.
