Still crying over Dark Millennium? Stop crying, yoo puny git! To admit defeat is to blaspheme against the Emperor.

A new Warhammer 40,000 MMORPG revealed.
Montreal, 10th June, 2013 – Behaviour Interactive and Games Workshop proudly announce a new online game in the Warhammer 40,000 universe.

WARHAMMER 40,000: ETERNAL CRUSADE
Behaviour Interactive has obtained the rights to create a wholly new MMORPG persistent war experience for PC, PS4 and Xbox One set in Games Workshop's universe of the 41st Millennium. In the game, players choose a Warhammer 40,000 race and fight directly as one of their warriors in massive conflicts for territory. It will be up to each faction's community to determine their own destiny as they vie for control of an entire planet.

For those who seek perfection there can be no rest on this side of the grave.
Burn the heretic. Kill the mutant. Purge the unclean.

Massively is promising more details on this today after sitting down with Behaviour's head of online games, Miguel Caron, at E3.

As long as it's not forced PVP I might be interested.
When you insult someone by calling them a "pig" or a "dog" you aren't maligning pigs and dogs everywhere.  The same is true of any term used as an insult.

Now to decide between rolling a Tau or a Imperial Guardsman.

There's going to be four races at the start; Space Marines, Chaos Space Marines, Orks, and Eldar.

Rust

Booerns. Fairly generic lot.

Still, as long as I have the ability to customize my Space Marine to the Chapter I want. Angel of Vigilance or I go with the Eldar. (Orkz don't interest me and I am fundamental opposed to Chaos)

If it were anything like WH40K: Space Marine I could happily live with forced PvP.
I'm bad and that's good.
I'll never be good and that's not bad.
There's no one I'd rather be than me.

...unless I could be Batman, of course. Everybody wants to be Batman.

The Fifth Horseman

"First"? What happened to Dark Millennium?
We were heroes. We were villains. At the end of the world we all fought as one. It's what we did that defines us.
The end occurred pretty much as we predicted: all servers redlining until midnight... and then no servers to go around.

Somewhere beyond time and space, if you look hard you might find a flash of silver trailing crimson: a lone lost Spartan on his way home.

Got cancelled when THQ went bankrupt. :(

They had plans to use its assets for a smaller scale project. Some kind of co-op game, but not an MMO. I'm guessing that died along with THQ, but you never know. Maybe someone acquired those assets. Maybe it was these new guys.

I'm gonna miss THQ. Those were some good people running that publisher. How often can you say that about a publisher anymore?

Rust

We lost one of the last good ones with THQ's closing.

I get the impression that PvP will be strongly encouraged and probably the game's focus, though they did say there's PvE content. Apparently the PvE content will be procedurally generated, meaning dynamic spawns n' stuff.

My bet is Tyranids end up as hostile NPCs with the possibility of player characters down the road. I still want my Guardsmen or Tau.

Karasu

I want my nids and crons! but i suppose i can settle for eldar for now.

JetFlash

Orks sound fun, but I want my Sister of Battle.

Rust

The Sisters occupy a really weird place in the game space now. The Grey Knights stole their thunder, and they don't really have much else to offer besides "Space Marines with Boobs".

Sweet! I didn't get to play the warhammer 40k MMO they had out a few years ago but I heard good things.  Ill have to try this one out.
