If you have been experiencing problems being seen or seeing people, please try Version 0.97e Beta (http://www.cohtitan.com/forum/index.php?topic=11060.msg186295), which fixed yet another bug related to invisible players, this time inconsistently affecting people using customized face scale sliders.
Note that both you and the person seeing you need to be running 0.97e for the fix to work. So before reporting an issue where you can see someone but they can't see you, please right click on them and check their version number to see if they are also running 0.97e.
Have you updated to version .965 and still have characters that are invisible? Please post here with the character name. The developers may hunt you down to capture your costume data.
I'm not, but lots of people arriving in Pocket D are not showing to me and several others...
The question is are THEY running .965 then...
A lot of people are not because it was not on the unofficial updater yet.

That's why the post is asking people who are invisible on .965, not people who are not invisible. :)

We're querying everyone, they say they are. We're getting them to try toggling costumes too. sometimes that works, sometimes not. Currently, we think everyone is visible, but not 100% sure.
OK. Thanks. Tell them to post here. This thread is to try and gather people's characters that are invisible, not just to say "people are invisible". We know that there are still people invisible.
My character's name is Small Business Man.
I've been told I'm invisible and I'm pretty sure I'm on .965. I reinstalled just to make sure. My costume slots don't have lock symbols on them and I'm pretty confused.
Character "El Nuevo Diestro" was invisible as of midnight PST last night. Confirmed he's running the latest build, we were trying things last night to see if could get the guy to show up but no dice.
On the plus side, I looked great.

Done.. Will send 'em along.
My character Spud seems to not be seen at all, however I think this is because of the Retro Sci Fi set ( I saw there was problems with that.)
Then there is Xrin, who has no illegal parts, but is hit or miss for a lot of people.
My character Thomas Krayt appears to be invisible. Went to the tailor and my guess would be that it's because he has the Vanguard symbol on his clothes (it's not showing in the tailor screen and not an option to reinstate).

That's what's wrong with this country!!!
(Whatever country you live in.... It's a joke. Shut up.)
I might still be invisible. I had to create another character b/c my virus protection ate some files >.<
Peachy Kin
I have been told that I am not visible in game. @Narelesh .
I could also not be seen tonight, running .965
Character name Screaming Mimi
I encountered 2 confirmed cases tonight. Everyone else I saw who was invisible was running 0.95 or 0.96, or was visible to me but not necessarily to people running older versions.
@justbling on Dreamcrow
and
@miriable on Trollhaus Cookie
If either of you see this, could you please PM me? I'd like to get a copy of your ParagonChat.db if possible.
I'm in Pocket D, on Tiger White, using 0.965. A few folks say they can't see me...
In ran into it this afternoon, (and this is a fresh spanking install from the server this morning) Tiger White was invisible until she executed a costume change. and apparently I was invisible to someone also.

Maybe it is worth considering repurposing /bug to allow a player to send this kind of information to a loggable debug meta channel room of some kind when they run into an odd issue, appropriately stripped of personal information. That way players that run into odd bugs can asynchronously dump this data to "the devs."
Running .966 tonight and made a new character ( Microburst ). This toon is invisible to others in Icon/Atlas, and Pocket D. Then I changed to a different toon that I made last night ( Kudzu ), and I am visible.
Yep, I saw you in Pocket D as Microburst. My invisible player alarm was going off and logging extra data from you automatically using the 0.996 debug features.
Completely exited Paragon Chat a couple of times, then logged back in to the game. Now both mine, and my wife's toons can be seen.
The person who helpfully sent me their ParagonChat.db file showed similar symptoms -- they were invisible, but when I logged in using their character, everything was fine and the problem was gone.
Both of those observations correlate with my hunch that it has to do with floating point rounding error. The fact that my other test subject's leg scale in the database was 0.0199999995529652 seems to further that conclusion.
The good news is that means that anyone who's running 0.965 or 0.966 and finds themselves invisible can probably fix it by logging out and back in. I'll implement some forced rounding for 0.97 and see if that clears up the few people still having trouble. The vast majority of invisible people I'm seeing are still running 0.95 or 0.96 and need to update.

Might be an idea to add an update notification on startup of Paragon Chat?

That's been on the 1.0 feature complete list since before launch, but there wasn't enough time to do it the way I wanted before the release date.
The beta versions do have an expiration date near the end of the month. They won't stop working, but will start nagging you to update the latest version every time you start it up.
Hello Codewalker.
I logged on with another Paragon Chat user the other night. I could see them but they couldn't see me.
Azrael.
I have something in the pipeline that may fix the last of these. There are a couple other bugs I'm trying to get into the same release, but I'll ask people to just hold on for now and try again after 0.97 is out.

Np, Codewalker. Looking forward to .97 and future patches.
Just to clarify. I think I was running .966 and the other Paragon Chat player was using the 'Beta.' So that might have been the source of the mismatch. (ie why they couldn't see me.)
I've just now updated their Paragon Chat client to .966. (I thought they were on this originally but I've just realised they weren't.)
We'll test it again later. I'll let you know if the issue is sorted.
Azrael.
Reporting myself as invisible to other people while running 0.97c on my character Gearmeister. Leandro took some form of a record of my costume with a debug build afaik, but I figure I might as well log it here. It persisted through xmppdisconnects and full relogs, and seems to be occurring with my alternate costumes on that character too. I ran into a Diana DeSoto with the same problem as well.
Updating to note that my other character, Mindgame, is also staunchly invisible to everyone but me. I've made both of these characters on a 0.97a or later build, just to throw it out there.
I'm beginning to wonder if there isn't some hash value stuck in the game client side of all these invisible people. That once it is appended to their local account, it keeps getting sent to the server incorrectly no mater how many patches are applied to the chat client? Just a pokey thought.
The first three characters I made (All before 0.97) are void of any invisibility bugs, to be clear, with 0.97c. It's only been the two toons I've made since 0.97 and its iterations hit, I think one with 0.97b and one with 0.97c.
Updating to say that CodeWalker saw me in game and has apparently scoped out the cause of our invisibility, and it will be fixed next patch!
Running 0.97c, all my characters are coming up invisible to others.
0.97c My character Diana DeSoto is invisible in both her costumes
Made two new characters in .97c, both invisible to everyone :( my pre-existing characters show up fine.
I have been told I am not visible thought i believe I am running paragon chat version .97 Help?
char name Cleric, currently in Paragon City
Not for me, but a friend of mine, global name @Ceysth, created a character that I can't see no matter what we do. I can see everything else, just not him or his toons.
My global is, shockingly, @Spark
Throwing it out there that after 0.97d hit, I remain invisi-disi-bibbi-dle. Leo's already looked into it and said it has something to do with debug hashes, but again, logging it here!
Eeek has not been visible for me since day 1. We both updated to 0.97d today and no joy - I still can't see her.
all of my post .97 created characters are still invisible as of .97d
Blackgrue, can you PM me? I'd like to get a copy of your ParagonChat.db file under %APPDATA%\Roaming\Paragon Chat\Database
I've gone ahead and sent a copy. Hope that contributes at all. :)
All of my characters seem to be invisible. Some I created in 0.97c, and some in 0.97d.
In full:
Neutron Shift
Nicole Oakridge
Kalayah D'atrani
Fist of Freedom
Sarai C. Smythe
Endless Blue
Mega
Chela Merraya
Hazarde
Lyria Valisdottir
Uldi Skadisdottir
Changing costume does nothing, nor does it seem to matter what sort of costume elements are present.
I gave my friend a copy of my db, and when we logged in as the same character we could see each other, but nobody could see either of us - also, sometimes costume changes didn't show to us unless we were wearing the same costume being switched to.
