how come the OP hasn't been updated? I can't assume discussions are really still underway 3 years after the latest update

Dr Who would benefit from another Cybermen/Dalek clash but this time not the alternate universe ones from the Doc 10 story. Bring on the Mondas versions that could upgrade/adapt like the Borg from Nightmare in Silver!

The problem with that is that no one that is involved with the negotiations has said whether the negotiations have failed spectacularly, failed moderately, mildly succeeded or caused the mass destruction of some restaurants buffet. We have no official information. So, the update would look exactly like it does now.
