I had two slots left which could be for the two resist powers Tough and Energy Protection (add one to each from that set would give more def to S/L)

or you could add them wherever you like, got better defenses to everything I could (even fire/cold is decent), better recovery, end drain and to hit buffs, slightly lower on the regen and the Recharge buff is misleading (its a proc in foot stomp that buffs recharge by 100% for 5 seconds...I swear by it though in a move you plan on spamming anyway). Of course you need Hami-Os to do this and one or two of those PvP procs (Rare and EXPENSIVE unless you just use merits or whatev to make them, which I do...err, did). Hope you like it, and feel free to move those last two slots back to health if you want. Would make that regen higher. Otherwise, I loved what you did for that toon of yours. Very nice build for lvl 35 slotting.

HEATSTROKE

Nice work.. While I often use Hami-O's in my builds I almost never count on having access to Cyto's or Ribo's or PvP enhancements due to the rarity (because people dont give them up) and the cost. I always build my toons based around level 35 because 32 is the lowest I will usually exemp down to and because I tended to run a lot of ITF's around level 35.

This was a live build which worked very well. I did like some of your tweaks.. you got enegrizes regen much lower... but I probably wouldnt make any changes to it...

It's raining here in Texas. I can see the wind blowing in the trees and the rain being beaten into my neighbor's window.

I'm in my library and I can't help but think what a perfect wintry day this would be to open some presents, hit the slopes and deal with that annoying Snaptooth.

I miss this game so much. Let's hope that 2016 brings us a chance to go home.

Hell, I just quit my job yesterday so I got all the time in the world to power level my toons...when the game comes back I mean.

I have a clear picture in my head; one day I'm going to do my usual check in on this thread and there are going to be a dozen new pages of comments. It's all going to be confusing, excited chatter and it'll take me a while to work out what the fuss is all about. I will eventually track down the announcement, there will be progress, it will be concrete and things will happen quickly from that point.

The game will come back in one form or another. Too many people want it too much for that to not happen. I suspect that we aren't going to hear anything until we are very close though, a slow drip feed of information is probably not in anyone's best interests.

That day isn't today. I'll check in again tomorrow.

Thunder Glove

Keep in mind that all you have to check is the "Wake me up when there's news!" thread, pinned at the top of this forum.

I do agree that the game will be back in one form or another, for the same reason - too many smart people want the game back too badly.  Even if this purchase attempt falls through, it doesn't mean there won't be other attempts, and I'm sure SCoRE will eventually have something to show.  (And that's not even including the successor projects, which are diligently hammering away)

My Favorites.. for different reasons..

Shield/Fire Tank.. Softcapped to all positions and Lots of AoE for mobs..

Shield/SS Tank.. I probably liked this for the dumbest reason.. but when you changed the animation on Knockout Blow to the two fisted uppercut it looks like you are bashing them with the shield..

WP/SS Tank... Just ridiculously hard to kill..

Elec/Shield Brute... built him as a Teleporting Attacker Shield Charge.. Lightning Rod.. Spring Attack and the Vorpal Judgement Power... he's over there.. wait he's over there.. no he's over there...

Energy Aura/SS Brute.. probably one of my most powerful toons when the game ended..

Softcapped to S/L/E Perma Hasten. Perma Energize. End Drains.. Fury and SS working together..

Hmmm... my favorites... I think...

MA/Regen scrapper - was fun!  And with the right build was a machine.

SJ/Willpower Scrapper - Fastest 1-50 I ever did, and mostly solo.

Dual Pistols/Energy blaster - fun fun fun

Archery/traps blaster - Great damage and could handle anything with pre-fight prep (see: time to lay mines)

dual blades/willpower scrapper - another fun build

And, don't want to forget my Dark/Dark scrapper.  Great fun.

Although it may not have been the builds so much as the characters that inhabited the builds.  Each developed specific personalities over time.  As a long-time roleplayer, that's always a great time, when your origin, build and playstyle form a synergy to evolve a distinct personality.

Oh, and then there was my Nuke/Energy blaster.

Ironwolf

Claws/WP scrapper
Fire/Dark Corruptor
Energy/Energy Blaster
Sonic/Ice Blaster

Those are my first 4 to make. The first one is Fire/Dark Corruptor as I can run them at 0 x 8 at level 10. Then by the time I have them built out at +4 x 8 and solo on the wall herding Romans.

Re: Dark Melee

One of my early characters after CoV came out was a DM/Elec brute, which in retrospect was not a great choice.  Elec was pretty bad at that point, and I'm not a huge fan of DM on brutes since leveraging Soul Drain doesn't work so well with Fury.  One sticking point with DM in general is that Soul Drain encourages AoE potential to get the most buff, but DM isn't the best for large AoEs.  That's why I'm thinking a Fiery/DM/Pyre tank.  Blazing Aura and Burn will definitely add to the AoE potential.  I think Fiery Embrace and Soul Drain will combo very nicely, since you add to the base damage of powers to take advantage of the more sustained damage buff.  And DM's additional survivability will help with damage mitigation, not Fiery's relative strong point.  It's definitely a combo on my character wish list.

Fire/Dark is high on my list too.  Being able to get Fire Ball, Rain of Fire, Fire Breath, Tar Patch and Darkest Night all by level 10--that's one heck of an AoE monster at low levels.

Ironwolf

Then add in Super Speed and you have a herding machine.

DM/Elec may have been poor when released but by the time I got to it, it was a powerhouse.

I wondered why nobody played it (and posted on the forums about that). Makes sense that if Elec was poor it was subsequently avoided by a lot of people. Having taken a break from the game and come back later, I had no reason not to try it. DM/Elec Brute will be the absolute first character I rebuild if the game returns.

Those area good collection :)
For my first 4, I would remake
first retcon my fire/fire blaster into a fire/WP scrapper
Katana/WP scrapper
Grav/ Rad Controller
And retcon my Mastermind from Ninja/trick Arrow to Ninja/Dark
My reasoning for making a few scrappers fist would be I would need a reliable way to gain inf. if I had to go solo most of the time. When the game closed my scrappers/brutes ran at +4/x2
One day the Phoenix will rise again.

Dark melee...I think some of the reason I did not like it was more to do with the "feel" than anything else.  When it came to melee sets, I enjoyed weapons with melee more than unarmed sets.  Though I did want to try out street justice and plan to when the game is re-released.  I was also discovering a liking to electric armor, the fact that it just provided such good amounts of damage resistance appealed to me and the fact it could keep itself going was simple yet awesome
Currently; Not doing any streaming, found myself with less time available recently.  Still playing starbound periodically, though I am thinking of trying other games.  Don't tell me to play mmohtg's though please :).  Getting back into participating in VO and the successors again to.

/elec was great....i loved the 'turn into a powerhouse of lightning for X amount of time and then suffer a massive crash' power.
If we set it on fire it'll burn....but that'd leave evidence...I KNOW ! COMPLETE ATOMIZATION! WOOOO!

Top four? Hmmm,

I would say I want:
1) my Claws/Invuln Brute;
2) Street Justice/Ninjitsu Stalker;
3) Ice/Dark Corruptor (was really controller-like, very fun and safe);
4) and either an MM (not even sure which, so many choices) or a Tanker (Shield/DM or Elec/DM probably).

Got tons more I want but that would make me happy.

I never see Fire/Dark controllers pop up much in conversation.  They always seemed--in theory--to have a lot of potential.  Haven't got MIDS atm; has anyone theorycrafted one of these?

Your looking at superior crowd control and some good defensive and offensive debuffs.  I suspect though, that with controllers often you want offense when it came to your secondary.  You had very good survivability with crowd control for most situations.  So the extra defensive oomph was not necessary from your secondary as much as with corruptors/defenders.  And controller base damage was very low.  So /dark would seem weak.  It did have it's -resistance debuff, though.  I'd say any /dark controller was /dark for the same reason a controller picked /storm; you wanted to be even better at crowd control than normal.
