I used CIT before they even joined the Titan network! But then I left for a long ol' time, and came back. Now I edit the wiki.

I'm working on sorting the Lore AMAs so that questions are easily found and linked: http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Lore_AMA/Sorted Tell me what you think!

His name is Tyrant.

:p

Funny you should say that.  I nearly had a friend of mine repaint a Statesman HeroClix as Tyrant.  It didn't work out because he had a lot suddenly hit him at once, so he just brought me back the figure. I gave it to a friend of mine who was a former City player to take to his girlfriend in another state; she was also a former City player.

And his name isn't "Tyrant."  It's "Emperor Cole."  :)

The logic question for my job was, "You wake up and you are trapped in a room with no windows, no doors. There is only one light bulb, one chalk and a math problems all over the room. On the wall, on the floor, on the ceiling. Oxygen is running out, how do you get out?"

My first thought to this is answering with "Well I have a question for you to.  You enter a 10 x 10 room. There's an orc guarding a chest. What do you do?"

Its an his official unofficial title.  Tyrant!  Man I miss this game....I loved Emperor Cole.  Such an awesome antagonist.

Brute, basically just as tanky, but more damage.

Neither, give me an electric armor brute any day.
Currently; Not doing any streaming, found myself with less time available recently.  Still playing starbound periodically, though I am thinking of trying other games.  Don't tell me to play mmohtg's though please :).  Getting back into participating in VO and the successors again to.

fun times, making builds for a purpose. I never could crack the fire/electric max damage build, never seen anyone do it. I tried to make a fire armor/electric scrapper but it was too squishy, brute might have been better but I forget if I tried to make it a brute.

not much more to say about any deals, especially because nothing is happening in corporateville due to the holiday season, they are all playing golf somewhere warm and/or tropical.

I mean, there is a slight chance that they are staying at their posts and bashing out the deal out of the goodness of their hearts and to get the deal finished and off their schedules (and of course get the end paycheck that comes with the finished deal). but that chance is very slim. Of course I'd love to be wrong.

right now the people at NCSoft could be determined to get it ready for January or February to match up with the start of the year on their financial books.

but I still think everything is hinging on the completion of the THeM's successor game. speaking of which I haven't actually gone and looked to see how far they are along, I should probably do that. Last I heard they had enemies and battle enabled. then I tried to follow suit with project bane and... lol mine was pitiful, 1 enemy ( no despawn, no respawn and no mission hand-in ability or reset) and I had to disable the stat system for speed to complete it on time.

and I haven't really done much on it since.
There is always another way. But it might not work exactly like you may desire.

A wise old rabbit once told me "Never give-up!, Trust your instincts!" granted the advice at the time led me on a tripped-out voyage out of an asteroid belt, but hey it was more impressive than a bunch of rocks and space monkies.

Nobody ever said the chest was a box.  The chest could have been the orc's own.  The orc is just looking out for its little orc self.  Leave it be.

I really enjoyed the electric power sets on Brute, Tank, Blaster, especially on the Dominator...loads of fun.  Electric 3 ways and loads of pets.  *How many ways to pull the legs off of a spider and all that.  Electric armour was a very decent armour set.  Electric/Mace was a good combo for my Tank...

Just a shame the game got shut down as Blasters were FINALLY going to get a massive injection of heal/end buff ability, nova rinse and repeat with no penalty, insta-snipe...  Cruelly, and devastatingly robbed before 'our' finest hour.  And even more annoying, Arcana reveals her 'turbo' En/En blaster build when the game is AWOL...and I can't test it!  *Imagines that build WITH the self buffs...bah.  Bah.  Bah.  Bah...*stares into space.

As for 'THeM' - patience and more patience.  NDA.  Be nice if we got an open beta announcement for the New Year.  It seems a long time since we heard anything and it has been.  But corporations can take ages.

There's always Paragon Chat in the meantime.  Team SCoRE are weaving their elegant web.  It's going to take a long time.

But rather that than the oblivion of 'never.'

It's coming back.  In some form or another.  In fact, it already has.  We had Icon.  A gift.  Then we have Paragon Chat.  A great gift.  Something the community can call home.  (It is, isn't it?)  And something that can handle 'realtime' combat probably after that.  But given the StarWars (Galaxies?) reverse engineering efforts...it will be a few years before we see the results of the latter perhaps.  But, that's an example of hope that communities can rally around.

Corporations and their IP.  I like Ironwolf's idea of open source CoX.  Instead of it gathering dust on the shelves, it would be great to have CoX in the hands of the community.  Wishful thinking at the moment.  But I'm hoping with Team SCoRE or team THeM...one day it will be.  Progress will be slow and frustrating, but just getting snow in Atlas is a gentle reminder that we're not beaten.

I was perfectly content after mastering a high-knockback blapping playstyle on my en/en blaster. I didn't feel like it needed any love. Not that I'd turn it down...

Sometimes DEVs kowtow to player whining to the point where anybody can play anything without developing any tactics. Then it's just yawn-inducing button mashing where it's fairly random whether you win or lose with a given build, no matter what tactics you use. Either that, or it's the exact same tactics for all situations, and equally yawn-inducing.

Azrael

A 'high' knock back play style was something I tried after getting my 'blast' orientated en/en to L50.  The knock and blap was even more fun.  However, I did find the 'knock back' was less reliable and effective, especially as you climbed the level ladder later on in the game.  Malta...Carnie...could be hard going.

I think 'knock back' was an area they could have looked at again and tweaked.

Energy torrent was a great power.  It would take the 'top' off a mob's health points...and...Exploding Blast (though end heavy...) would take another slither of health off the 'bottom' of the mobs...softening them up for some blapping...with double slotted swift to close the gap to melee.

En/En was very end heavy.  Conserve would take AGES to come around.  (I preferred the perma-hasten pre-ED en/en blaster m'self...)  That said, I never got the change to trial Arcana's uber En/En build.  Re: The knock back - could be unreliable.  Yes.  Tactics.  OF COURSE!  ;)

Blasters had been left gathering dust for years...I mean...YEARS!  While Scrappers enjoyed a 'cake and eat it' charmed life.  Blasters?  They were cruelly robbed of their phoenix like rebirth.

The Water Blaster being a tantalising taste ;P of things that never came...  (A cork screw water heal self buff?  Whirl pool great AoE damage?  A rinse repeat water nova that never failed to please.  Take that Council!  Drenched fur of Wolves on the streets of Bricks...)

Alas...

Azrael.

I had an Electric/Electric Brute villain side. Then, after the "rescue your clone" mission, I made an Electric/Electric Tank clone of the Brute for the hero side.

I also had am Electric/Electric scrapper hero side.

That depends.  If I'm building to run Granite, then tank.  Outside of granite, brute.  Overall in a hybrid build, tank. Simply because if I'm building a stone armor character that's going to be running granite some of the time, I'm almost certainly going for maximum defensive strength.

Actually, given the difference in defense and resistance modifiers, I would disagree.  In or out of Granite, Stone tankers are substantially stronger (defensively) than Stone brutes.
