Also, if I remember correctly they specifically have an exemption to the exemption for MMOs.  Meaning, MMOs don't fall under the exemptions for abandoned software.  Whether that relates to the Paragon Chat or not, I'm not sure.  They had specifically mentioned that MMOs themselves aren't exempted, because the majority of the data resides on the servers.  In the case of the Chat client though, the data exists with the client, so it might actually fall under the exemption.

As far as Cox falling under the abandoned category, for the purposes of these exemptions, if it were not an MMO it would qualify.  Any games that require authentication to play, but that authentication method is no longer operating, would count.  Technically, they were talking about authentication for DRM, but for an MMO, the authentication is essentially the DRM mechanism.  Like I said before though, pretty sure the exemptions specifically exclude MMOs.

And yes - that look-a-like was also 3ft tall.

I first heard about Oingo Boingo because "Insects" was featured on an episode of Dr. Demento back in the 1980s.

It wasn't until much later I learned that Danny Elfman was the frontman for that band.  (At the time I first heard "Insects", I wouldn't have known who Danny Elfman was)

I know i've said this earlier in this thread(not sure when :P) but wow!, this has been going on for about a year...that's insane considering how quick things went.
First: We formulated the plan, then next thing I know(from what I've read in the time-line and can conclude) their talking to the person(or persons) that are needed for the 'yes' to sale...that's pretty quick for negotiations if you ask me(having no idea of standard timelines)  :o, I honestly think they want this over with and out the door soon   :o
