Its within the realm of possibility, in the sense that its within the realm of possibility that negotiations are taking a long time because the NCSoft negotiators keep getting kidnapped by aliens and being replaced.

All you know is that it is a) taking longer than you want and b) you personally can think of no reason for it to take that long.  Those are the same reasons people use to decide a strange noise in the woods is Big Foot.  There is "no reason to think..."  because there's no reason to think anything at all.  As difficult a principle as it is to honor, information should lead to conclusions, it should not bear the burden of disproving our guesses.

Again: to believe NCSoft deliberately entered into negotiations just to stall them enough to first incite interest and then degrade that interest over time requires an extremely precise set of beliefs that an NCSoft executive is a genius in just the right way, and a complete idiot in just the right way, and cartoonishly evil in a third way, and happened to be the one person the negotiating team happened to stumble across.  This is incredibly unlikely.  No one who has asserted the belief that NCSoft is stalling negotiations because they never had any intent on selling the property has been able to provide a reasonable explanation for why someone not interested in selling wouldn't have simply ignored offers to sell instead.  At least not a serious one.

It is so unlikely that were this to happen to me in real life, my first instinct would be to perform the FAST test on myself to determine if I was having a stroke and suffering from altered mental state.

This newest pitch wasn't NCSoft's idea, and it is well within the realm of believability that they are doing as little as humanly possible involving this deal, hoping that we will quietly go away instead of causing them yet another P.R. disaster if they say all-out "No." 

I get business offers in my email every day, often several a day.  The "little as humanly possible" that I do when I'm not interested is to ignore that email.  What would you say if I said I got a business offer, and I was trying to make them go away by responding to them periodically and saying I need more time and could they provide more information, and complaining that they didn't get the hint so I was going to give it just two more years, and then that's it.

Also, I'm afraid the notion of them simply ignoring us completely somehow leading to a "P.R. disaster" is really sounding increasingly to me like believing we can get NCSoft on the naughty list and make Santa give them coal next year.  The only bad P.R. NCSoft got in a material sense was at the moment of shutdown, and for a few months afterward.  After that, they could have, and did in fact, simply walk away.  They didn't need to talk to anyone else ever again, and there would be no problem for them of any significant kind from that point until the heat death of the universe.  In fact, except for their brief boilerplate statements about deciding the time had come for the game to end, NCSoft basically did exactly what they should have done if they wanted to walk away: they did nothing.  They did not argue with us, or debate us, or litigate this on internet forums or with press releases.  They went away.  That's what you do when you want things to end.  You walk away.

I tried to explain earlier in this effort that NCSoft is not evil - they don't hate the game. They had some issue with some of the Paragon Studios staff but they are all long gone.

It would be a real surprise if any of the people in the dead games division were the ones who made the decision to close the game. You also had Nate come into this thread very recently and explain the delay is because of the complexity + the NCSoft/Nexon drama.

I'm not a fan of false martyrdom.   You asked a question, which I answered.  You then asked a second question, which I also answered.  At no time did I suggest you should not express your opinion.  However, your right to express an opinion doesn't come with a guarantee that opinion won't be challenged as to either its reasonableness or its congruence with the facts.  Particularly when you explicitly ask for such commentary.

On the other hand, if defending your opinions in the marketplace of ideas is not your cup of tea, I would suggest reserving the kiddie comments for more facile contexts.  You're clearly willing to ask for answers you don't want.  Don't compound that error by asking for considerations you can't afford next.  Casual metaphor is an allowance, not a prerogative.

Saw it as well. 8/10 only because of a slow feeling start. The shrinking mechanic just adds layers to the action the other mcu flicks don't have. Even if this isn't a blockbuster success it's going to have lasting appeal.
