I suspect they opened up the travel options for Khelds due to the new pool sets like sorcery that had a fly in it... I have a fly in my pool?

Better than a Baby Ruth?

the thing i loved and hated about such new pools was to then wait for the next Mids update then start redesigning some of my alts.......ah, good times. ;)

it was a pleasure to rebuild all my PB's once they upgraded lightform, it was nice to be a PB with permalightform and defenses capped while in human form.

Got my all human PB to 50 before the shutdown but never got to IO her. :(

Power Gamer

You know, I never really played a kheld all the way to 50.

Just couldn't get into the swing of it, so many choices!

Look forward to rectifying that error soon.

Even if both sides really want the deal - it can take a long time. They are having to prove to NCSoft that they can develop the game. It will be done when its done.

But I want it now

Under the circumstances, I'm actually inclined to sympathize with the Veruca Salt position, but, alas, we must have patience.   :)

The fact that NCSoft cares whether new owners can develop the game is interesting.

NCSoft wants a product they sell to succeed. Their name (logo) will still be on it. They may possibly work an agreement to do a deal similar to the Cryptic one where they phase out ownership over a 2 year period - retaining the rights to the game until a set point is reached. I do know these are things that were possible - I don't know where they went from there.

My timeline in the first post really shows the main points I can talk about/know about. I know it seems counter to human nature but I am really a hands off type of person once work is being done by someone else. The game will belong to them, not me and so while I have given my opinion on somethings - I have stayed out of the way of them running the negotiations. Please understand also - I don't want any credit, TF, character or anything else from this whole deal except the game back - period. I don't want my ego stroked or anything else.

After the Massively article - more eyes will be here now. With things so close - I know they won't risk any further panic. It may be quiet for a while - I will ask for an update soon but they may not want it to be public knowledge. I hope you understand.

We should understand. If not, too damn bad.

Just let us know when the sale is final if you can.

Oh and when we might be able to play again if they have an ETA once they complete the deal.

This does give a greater appreciation for how long this could potentially take. Really, we all greatly appreciate this opportunity to be hopeful again, even if it goes nowhere! Sorry if we all sound like a broken record but the sentiment is quite true!

Don't say anything, it can only serve to be construed and sensationalized by others or another game news outlet.

Just blink once for "yes," twice for "no."  ;)

I know it may not seem like I appreciate how everyone feels at times - but I feel the same way! The pent up emotions are hard to hold back at times. Yes, looking back at my last signature post - I have to step back and not give in to my own feelings on this - it is business. I try and keep that in mind when I am asked the same question multiple times - the person may not have read it elsewhere and they are here in this forum so they want the game back too.

We all have the same goal and we are still here and new folks find us all the time!

As much as I want to know whats happening even more than that I want the game back.  I can be patient.  Especially if it leads to that ultimate goal.  And I think everyone else can bear it too.

And thank you.  Just because I haven't said it lately.  :)

I find myself wishing I was in the "inner circle" Hate not knowing what is going on moment by moment. But...I am excited for the news that Iron is getting out to us. Thanks!

If I get to beat a dead horse on this forum I want it to be saying "thank you" all involved in the effort, successful or otherwise.

Is it just me or does anybody else start envisioning sonic blast attack swirls overlayed on this picture and some gangers being knocked around left of frame?

That's true.

CoH managed to pull off something I've not really seen in any other game. Making the game loose enough that you don't have to use X power exactly 4.21 seconds after Y in order to defeat the big baddie while not making the game seem too easy for words.
This may be why I didn't enjoy the sets that encouraged you to use attacks in a specific order to get bonuses.    Never thought of it before.

I loved that robot. He was my third favorite robot.

3. Robot from lost in space
2. Giant Robot who's little friend was Johnny Sokko - I can't believe I never made a Johnny Sokko Robot MM.
1. Robbie from Forbidden Planet. Best Sci Fi movie ever.

I now return you to your regularly scheduled "Are we there yet?".
For me:

3-Marvin from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
2-Vision
1-R2D2/C3Po

Then the portal farming abuse was why they changed it to no xp from killing monsters coming  from portals to only xp for destroying the portals (There where two farming techniques used)
That one bothered me.   They could certainly still kill you.   So I wondered where the all important "risk vs reward balance" was on that one.   Seemed like it was only a problem if the reward outweighed the risk....never a problem if the risk outweighed the reward.

Also, make Super Speed more versatile by making speedsters able to run up sheer surfaces, like buildings, the way The Flash can. I took SS once, because the character's theme called for it. But the lack of vertical mobility in places like Skyway City had me avoiding SS after that.
I sorta understood why SS had that downside.   Every travel power had one.   If SS lost that downside it would be necessary to rid the others of their downsides as well to make each travel power equally attractive.  ...Though teleport would probably always lag behind the others.  (not for me though...I had it on a lot of toons)
