I dunno that they are passed out by any certain level of deserving, more like something funny to toss at folks who make us happy.  Of course, now that I said that Agge will come in here and correct me on how wrong I am.   :)

Was just thinking in light of the current change of mood here due to facebook posts,etc creating negative press perhaps it might be worth Ironwolf or a mod here writing to NCsoft on behalf of us all.
The mail will just say that we appreciate them coming back to the table and hold them no ill will (time a great healer n all that) and that was all we want is our game back.Also point out that any negative comments are from the ill informed minority and that we as a community want nothing to do with them.
I just think that if we think that NCsoft are reading posts on Facebook then surely we should counter that with some positivity,just my 50 pence.....

Pretty sure you can change it yourself, under Profile.  But I'm not 100% sure on that since I can only look at my Profile, over which I'd have mod-level controls as well.  I'd never occassioned to think about those titles before, and then I saw a bevy of them getting tossed around like candy in this thread.

I dunno that any additional contact with NCSoft would be productive at this juncture.  All we can do is try to police our own community interactions and pass along to FB Mods, Mods here, etc. when we see stuff that might be harmful to our overall objective.

It seems to me, that NC can be characterized as a lumbering behemoth that takes a long time to turn around and look at the path it has left behind it, and it seems like we CoH fans are like so many birds circling around its head looking for it to drop something we want.  Always pecking at it.  At least, that seems to be how they look at it.

In this scenario, we should make a little flock over their shoulder where we are out of the way, but still watchful and tell the dive-bombing birds to build a nest and knock it off.

If someone can explain to me how or why Facebook going crazy actually affects the talks, I would appreciate it. Other than the hypothesis that maybe NCsoft thinks it means the new team can't be trusted to keep their mouths shut when they should, I don't get it.

Well, I'm certainly not in any information loop that has any more insight than anyone else reading this stuff, but I think there are a lot of things that might provide some anxious thoughts in the minds of NCSoft.

Let's face it - even though they weren't acknowledged after the shutdown, the actions did cause a bit of a ruckus. Could any of that have impacted stock price? Possible, I suppose. Who can really say?

Essentially, I'm an ignoramus when it comes to understanding my own American culture. I'm obtuse and out-spoken, and as a rule, not very polite. Understanding South Korean culture? It's laughable to suggest I'd have a remote clue as to what would disturb them.

So, because I enjoyed Super Speed and Ninja Run on at the same time, and the ski-slopes in Paragon D, I'm going to make sure I try really hard not to say anything to offend anyone - even if I do think most of us are really too sensitive ( including me!).  But, I am going to keep reading this thread. It's like the old CoH forums without all the build advice.

The comments that have been made in the last couple of days have led to me looking at the events of the shutdown in a different light. I think the general feeling was that the noise created by the players was being ignored but it looks like it very much was being heard and may have been counter productive in the negotiations over selling at that time. We can't possibly know what went on then and similarly we don't know the full story now.

In the end the reasons behind any nervousness are probably not important, we have been essentially asked to try to keep a bit of a lid on it for our own benefit. That's all we need to know.
