To me, I didn't really care if your toon died because you were not paying attention (unless on a Master of). Thing that bugged me was when scrappers (and blappers too) that expected healers to keep pace with their stupidity. I never liked it when a PUG kicked someone for not healing enough. If the people dying paid more attention to their own weaknesses, they wouldn't need to be "taken care of" quite so much.

Having said that, the worst was people who cannot read simple instructions from team leaders who have a specific goal (my favorite? clicking the last glowie on a farm mission it took me days to get to). Always funny how many people felt left out in PL runs and felt the need to touch stuff when told not to.

I want to play so bad :(

Stop sayin that. It'll never happen if you want it. (That's what I was told)

I never really ran into "BAD" teams. We might have had a player who wanted to BLAP at times, but most of the teams I ran into were very efficient.

Completely bad teams were rare, simply because it was difficult for the entire team to be bad and yet manage to remain functional enough to keep playing.  Most totally bad teams would disband before you could find them.

My Ill/Rad would sometimes end up on totally bad teams: teams that would be totally non-functional if I wasn't there, and specifically if I wasn't there with a high-functioning buff controller.  But that was extremely rare, mostly because it was difficult to be completely non-functional in City of Heroes.  In fact, there was a certain kind of chaotic fun in trying to keep such teams alive.  Perfectly optimal play can get boring.

But overcoming the bad player on your team made the mission even more fun at times .  Now there were some players who were very good at the game and could run some TF's pertty fast. There were some that took their time. But rarely did i ever run into "BAD" players
I played on Freedom primarily and ran into many bad teams, people pulling more groups while we were fighting the first group. Then there were people who ran off thinking it was a glowly or a kill a specific boss, only to find out the mission was a kill all. The bane of my teaming were those who went "afk to soak up the xp"
However, I ran into many good to great team, which I loved, I even loved duoing and trioing.

A good Scrapper shouldn't need (constant) healing. He/She should be able to take care of him/herself.

Self heal, with an SO for interrupt, one for recharge, and (at least) two for heal was a mandaratory in all my scrapper builds.  Unless the secondary had an overabundance of heals, like Regen, and for Regen a few Pool Power damage mitigation choices was mandatory.  Just for that little extra boost.

I used to run the last mission arc in Faultline and Croatoa to test my builds.  If I couldn't solo them without a face-plant, my build wasn't satisfactory and I would tweak it until I could.  (I did that with every class, not just Scrapper, actually)

That is how I made my scrappers and brutes, and this is how I fee. If someone is playing a melee character they should be able to take care of themselves. My regen while not the best did make it so I was not killed as easily. However, I also think that if you have good regen it only gets someone just so far, to have a good melee they would need good defenses. :)

Sigh, this is making me want to build a Scrapper...  now I need to fire up Mids and play around for awhile.

Sinistar

makes me want to watch the vids I made of certain characters of mine on missions, TFs and farms.

Got some of  blaster of mine dressed as Santa during the winter event spouting crazy Santa one liners
"Mistletoe is no match for a tow missile"
"Chestnuts roasting! I'm gonna open fire!"

Also got some of scrappers of mine running AE farms with ease......

As a person who ran several emp/rad defs, I can tell you that players who know how to run their scrappers and understand the dynamics of working with a team and the best.  I was one of those healers that just threw off the buffs on the tank either.  If I saw teamed with a really great tank and a really great scrapper, I'd buff the tank for max survivabilty and turn the scrapper into capped killing machine.  If there was more than one killing machine on the team, I'd let each of them get a taste of being capped for dmg.

As much as I hated supporting bad players, supporting good players was always a real joy.
No Surrender!

Healer, what's a healer?

Oh yeah, those things that you need in those other games where there is no in-combat health regeneration.

What I liked about coh was the sheer variety of gameplay, combination of power sets, archetypes etc.

There was no 'one' way to do it.

I started off thinking healers were essential but later realised ff and dark or sonic defenders could be just as good.  That a tank maybe nice but a good controller could 'tank'...

I also remember those teams where players thought they could brute force AVs... And after half an hour saying..., "We need a rad defender..."

Azrael.

I loved my Time/Ice Tankfender. and yes, I could control aggro with him. Had the Dark Watcher and Deflated Ego procs in Times Juncture. That drew a lot of attention from the baddies.
Cogito, Ergo... eh?

Those other games where they exclude good crowd control to.  And make you spend hundreds of hour of play for the most meaningless rewards.....
Currently; Not doing any streaming, found myself with less time available recently.  Still playing starbound periodically, though I am thinking of trying other games.  Don't tell me to play mmohtg's though please :).  Getting back into participating in VO and the successors again to.
