The gears are moving, slowly but surely.

I will be feeling pretty pessimistic about the coh coming back and then I see this and feel better about it. I am hoping for a breakthrough soon because swtor is circling the bowl.

New to the forums and was hoping for some updates. I guess we're at the SOON(TM) period. That used to be the worst!

Also, if there is actual progress being made to resurrect COH, I hope the subscription price is lower. I think it was $15/month and I know I can't do that anymore. Hopefully this is discussed. I really would like to be a subscribed player again! :)

It has.  It was $15 per month.  It has been decided that is too much for a game in permanent maintenance mode (or equivalent) so they will instead be charging $14.99.

If CoH returns with the model it had at shutdown you will still be able to play without a sub. Admittedly there may be some restrictions on free play, but everything short of Incarnate content* was pretty cheap as long as you didn't have severe altitus. (Between my chronic altitus and desire to have it all i never dropped my subscription and had everything available on my main account, but i still had fun playing on my non-subbed secondary account every now and again.)


*Incarnates of course were either subbed or no Incarnates for you!

The day CoH returns, my SWTOR sub is stopped, and every moment of free time is devoted to experiencing everything in CoH that I have spent the last few years missing terribly!  I will rebuild my stable of 25 level 50 characters, and relish every moment, of every mission it takes to do so!

It's a very small update, but quite pretty.

Hmmm... odd.  I never even considered opening a second, free account.  I just kept adding alts to my single account.  I had 3 or 4 servers full at the end.

However, the day before the shutdown notice, my daughter downloaded and opened her own free account on her own PC, finally, after playing on mine for years.

Man, was she pissed the following day.  She never played again after that notice.

Sounds like my plan too... Just having a hard time deciding which of my 20 or so 50's will get to be the first back to 50.

I used friends account but I would use multiple accounts to farm the Posi trial rack reward points for my Numias and Miracles I had a fire/mind blaster that I got to like 30 and used him for that only man I so hated when they changed that trial up into two parts

i'm with you. I used to grab a friend and we'd solo posi simultaneously then join each other's last mish. 134 merits in under 1:30 was hax.
