NCsoft getting sued?

Hello everyone, I wanna give you guys some news on whats happening with NCsoft. NCsoft is getting sued along with many other game companies for making 3d MMORPGs  if they when the NCsoft lawsuit, i will be an extremely happy person.  However if they win against any other game company, i will not be.  the company who is suing NCsoft is here: http://worlds.com/index.html

The case involving Ncsoft Vs Worlds Inc was submitted just before christmas in 2009. It was settled out of court.

Interestingly, this was also the case that cited City of Heroes (as well as other NCsoft titles) as infringing on the patent that Worlds Inc hold. The case however was settled out of court. I believe that it was this case that might have lead to the situation where NCsoft and Paragon Studios were not willing to budge (on either side) over a point or two in the negotiations between the two, and so the management buyout got scuppered.[1]

Right now, I am aware of them going after Blizzard Activision for World of Warcraft/Call of Duty franchises...

[1] Essentially NCsoft wanted Paragon Studios to pay part of the ongoing settlement costs that might have well be apportioned to the City of Heroes franchise. If the fine was not paid, then City of Heroes *could well ahve been* made a target in another court case because the City of Heroes franchise was *not* paying the previously agreed upon settlement. So yes, essentially paying "protection money" for them not to be made a target of again by Worlds Inc. NCsoft wanted them to pay this, the management didnt want to pay it. Who was in the right, and who was in the wrong? That is open to debate, but in this case, I can see as to why it was a sticking point
