OK, that wasn't really the main point of this week's column by Matt on MMORPG.com, but it's worth the read-thru, anyway.

He'll be giving a panel presentation on playing a hero in an MMO at C2E2, the Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo.

I was already planning on attending C2E2 this year(as I've done for the last 2 years, only this time I won't be stuck at my school's booth most of the time I'm there), but at least now I have an idea of something I want to see while I'm there.

Any chance we could slap together some kind of impromptu get together (mini-unity rally?) at the convention for those of us who are going?

Yay C2E2! I met Sean Austin and John Barrowman there a few years back. I will have to see what days Posi will be there. I might go just to stop by and shake his hand.

Speaking of carrying things... I was toying with the idea of creating a "speach bubble" to walk around with that reads "Level 50 Scrapper, looking for new MMO!", possibly putting "Save CoH!" on the back, or something like that...

Part of me doesn't have the confidence to draw any sort of attention to myself though, good or bad... What can I say, I'm shy and super passive in person as opposed to on the interwebs... :-\

Dunno if I could whip up a shirt in time, but I want to make one that reads "Army of Me" followed by a list of all my alts--okay, maybe like my top twenty alts.... I had nearly 36 at close (and that was after deleting many). Haven't decided what was on the front. I was thinking like "Save CoH: Victory Server" as that was my home server.

I arrive Thursday, have NO PLANS before or after the panel, but leave early on Saturday (Dr. Aeon's wedding is Saturday afternoon).

That's kinda tempting. I don't think I'd like driving in Chicago. Is it in Chicago proper or on the outskirts and will parking be hard to
get?

It's actually in Chicago, at McCormick Place. I think they have parking info on the official C2E2 site, but I imagine it's a major headache to deal with, and expensive to boot considering it is in Chicago. I don't presently have a car myself though, so I was going to be taking the Metra into the city and hopping onto one of the free shuttle busses that they'll have running like they've had previous years.
