This video was supposed to be my "farewell to the official servers" video. On early November, I had the first minute and a half done. Then, my harddisk died, and it took 3 weeks to get a replacement.

By the time I got back to work on it, the servers had already shut down, and I had to rethink where I wanted this video to end. It still has some rough edges, but I am reasonably happy with the result.

Songs:

"Remains" by Maurissa Tancharoen & Jed Whedon, from "Dollhouse" (episode "Epitaph One").

"Where do we go from here?" from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (episode "Once More With Feeling").

I shouldn't watch these things before I go to work. :p

That was... horrible.

And then it was uplifting!

And seriously amazing.  Leandro, you're pretty decent at this whole video thing. :)

Your emotions, they are my playthings.

I just cleaned out my working directories. The 18,000 screenshots used to make this video were using 9.5GB of disk space.

Cryfire

Wow, that was amazing, had me smiling and sad at the same time.  ;D :'(

There's an MP4 download link, if YouTube is blocking it on your phone.

Wow, that was just about perfect.

Thanks for sharing and thanks for all the hardwork and dedication.

I even spotted my SG leader in one of the group shots!

Pretty amazing and, yes, uplifting too!  Also nice that you pulled in not 1, but 2 whedonverse songs. ( ' :

Arachnion

I'm all dressed up with nowhere to go
Walkin' with a dead man over my shoulder

Waiting for an invitation to arrive
Goin' to a party where no one's still alive

The Fifth Horseman

We were heroes. We were villains. At the end of the world we all fought as one. It's what we did that defines us.
The end occurred pretty much as we predicted: all servers redlining until midnight... and then no servers to go around.

Somewhere beyond time and space, if you look hard you might find a flash of silver trailing crimson: a lone lost Spartan on his way home.

Simply astounding, you are a mad, creative spark of genius!

And I must salute your persistence in the face of all that happened to slow down your progress.

And I too cried as well, in sadness, then later in delight to see the heroes rebuilding.

And to see my top two main characters, Cyberman 8 and Kara Skye, sitting and chatting on the corner of the Atlas podium at the end... I am amazed. I never even saw them in the same scene before even in my own head, but now you've given me a new way to look at them. Thank you!

Just one question - what is that bouncing box behind Castle?

I actually had the honor to meet myself the last day after a mapserve. Decided to alt and came back to where I was and my other toon was still standing there.  :o Freaky, but kinda cool.

Any particular reason you choose two songs from Joss Whedon series to use as a soundtrack?  Besides their lyrics and being somewhat appropriate?

Reason I'm asking was when 'ko used the piece from the last episode of B5 for her farewell to the game video, it already had been associated with great sadness of letting go of something that's been with you for years with me, even though I hadn't heard that piece or watched that episode in over 10 years, the connection was still there.  The same could be said with your two selections, invoking a preexisting emotional response due to the context when we first heard them.

I just find the emotion brain hacking quality of music fascinating.

Oh, and the video was terrific BTW.
