Kallisti Wharf

I have finished taking screens of both versions of the map. This thread will no longer be updated.

I couldn't find any loading screens, music, etc for the zone.

Thanks to Codewalker posting the KW map names, I've taken some screenshots.

They are disheartening, seeing what we've lost, and could've had.

There was going to be a new Task Force here: Contacts/Kallisti_Wharf/KW_TaskForce.npc

Along with the above, I found three maps designated TF:

maps/missions/Unique/i24_Unique_Maps/KW_TaskStrikeForce/IOM_Cap_Aeon_AE.txt (appears to be regular Cap au Diable)
maps/missions/Unique/i24_Unique_Maps/KW_TaskStrikeForce/IOM_Ocean_Research_Site.txt (Appears to be a fleet of ships on water)
maps/missions/Unique/i24_Unique_Maps/KW_TaskStrikeForce/IOM_Space_Asteroids.txt (tested, nothing there, all black void)

There was going to be a building called "Statesman One" in the area as well:

object_library/City_Zones/Kallisti_Wharf/Buildings/SkyScrapers/Statesman_One/Statesman_One_Building.rootnames

I believe it is the one major thing missing from both versions of the zone, along with the needed touch-ups, etc.

I only pointed out the gas station because it's the one in KW, that means Kallisti Wharf was being worked on (or just created) in 2011.

That gas station has been around for a while. It was in the run-down part of Neutropolis, and was also the focus of an instanced mission against Arachnos. IIRC it was in Dark Watcher's warden arc.

Edit: I remembered wrong. It was in one of Mother Mayhem's missions.

I would love to explore this myself even if it's by a demoplayback. So is there a handy demofile that exists so I can have a gander (since my efforts to create one crashed the client ;D )

2. Put the files from KW-demos.rar into your client_demos folder in your CoH beta folder

3. Load up a demo, hit F2, then open Cameraman program, drag the slider to "Fly"

4. Use WASD keys and your mouse to control the camera, and fly through the war walls in the distance, that is how I get into the map (I'm REALLY BAD with coordinates and camera positioning)

5. There you go.

And I did have the foresight to update all my clients; live, test and beta before the closedown and stop the NCLauncher from loading on startup :D

Strange. Which demo, Early or Later?

Did you go into F2 Free camera mode and look around?

The maps should both work.

Yup, I did indeed go into F2 Free Cam mode, and I tried both demos. I had also gotten the I24 client from Leandro, and that's where I placed the maps.

Maybe try putting in the map names on a demo yourself? Just copy one of your existing ones, open it, and replace the map name at the top. I posted the KW map names in TA's thread around here somewhere, about unique maps. Demo Recording sub-forum maybe?

I just loaded up both demos, they start with my character facing the War Walls... which were plain as day.

How are you launching your demos, Corvus? Shortcut switches, or with a program?

I use Zloth's Demo Launcher, http://home.roadrunner.com/~dasloth/CoH/Demos/Launcher.zip and after choosing the "Special" option, then choosing Beta's cityofheroes.exe, selecting a Kallisti demo and launching it works.
