Rumor: NCsoft launcher removing ALL CoH files

WARNING!!!!!!

Do NOT run the NCsoft Launcher!

There are rumors that it is forcing an uninstall of all CoH files!

This includes screenshots, costume files, demo records, etc.

wouldn't be able to say, I uninstalled the launcher first thing Saturday morning.  :)

I moved and made copies to each of my harddrives just incase this happens. You'll need the client files incase any form of server emulation becomes a sucess.

I've tried running the launcher today. I made two backups of the game directory before proceeding. The game did not uninstall itself

Same here, files not uninstalled.

it has been proven in another thread similar to this that the nclauncher does not do anything to the game files, however, it is possible it COULD do something in the future, so i would recommend removing it anyway

The launcher is actually letting me re-install the game after I moved it from my hard drive to an external drive.  (I moved the client and the beta client, but not the launcher.  It's so relatively small I forgot about it)

I do have the Mac version, though, so maybe they just forgot about that version.  That wouldn't surprise me.

I'm pleased that is not true.  I was beginning to think that NCsoft was really trying to eradicate all traces of CoH from existence.
