Game just went down for me, 1:45 AM EST. Anyone else having this issue? I can't connect at all, thought it wasn't supposed to crash for good until 3 AM EST. :(

Yeah, Virtue in particular is crashing often now, its being stressed way more than the others.

I'm still trying to get back in, but I can easily get in and out of Pinnacle.

I was right at Hudra doing DFB too, grrr.

Mapserved out of AP35 at 2:53 Eastern; close enough for me. Almost forgot to Sentinel-extract C.C.; got him at almost literally the last possible moment.

Last one out of Paragon City turn out the lights and lock up. I expect the place to at least look presentable when we all return.

I spent my last moment with my SO on a ledge overlooking the Atlas Statue in AP33. The sunset framed it perfectly when we got the mapserver.

What a way to end.

I got to take my spider Arachno Phil out for a last outing and some red names kindly allowed me to run in a mission with them, for which I am most grateful. Virtue was hiccuping under the strain but the staff responded quickly to try and get everyone back in, which pretty much sums up this game. Players being helpful, staff being helpful and everyone joining in together.

I haven't come across a community like this elsewhere and I will sorely miss this game.

The Beta server went down at 12:18 Pacific.

The final chat message was a level 50 Bio Armor Tanker looking for a team.

I ran missions, patrols, raids, tfs earlier like most folks. It was amazing the amount of content and fun was going on everywhere.

Then about 30 minutes before shutdown, it was like everyone had the same idea - to get to AP and wait it out together.

I flew and zoomed around the streets for many minutes while watching the goodbye scrolls, trying to cover every well-known foot of ground. Then at 11:53pm I got mapserved and realized I won't get back into Virtue tonight.

So I restarted and logged in to Pinnacle, my original home server. About 2 minutes later it ended, right where it all began 8 years ago.

I logged on with a Virtue alt to see how it was all going, having been listening to The Cape all evening. She was in the red for hours, and to my knowledge crashed out at least twice.

I spent a while on Infinity redside with one last hurrah with my main global channel friends, with Atomic Acoustics helping to bash some Rikti face in...then I switched over and languished in AP1 on Justice on my main and favorite character, Aggelakis, for a while before going with some friends to Firebase Zulu to start up the very last, very longest Dr. Quaterfield ever...
