Does anyone have any information as to why Vidiotmaps/Badgehunters is down?

Hopefull just maintenance.

Seems my Norton 360 is blocking it.

Stunrunner

I did get a couple of virus attacks while using it yesterday, that may be why Norton is blocking you.

Yep, been reported as being infected/infecting, and when I tried to go there?  I got looped and looped and looped...

Whoever owns it needs to figure out what's wrong and fix it.

Or... maybe they don't care anymore. :(

Beefcake.

And I think he is so deeply in mourning he doesn't care.

Beef's effectively been out of the game and Badge-Hunter/Vidiotmaps for the last year with real-life stuff. I'd been doing all of the badge and map updates since Issue 22, with him just been doing backend file transfers and compiling of the map pack for me. Now that the site's hacked/crashed I don't have a way to get in contact with him, and I never did have any real access to the server, accounts, or site coding. It's a shame it ended this way.

Ahh I just visited it last night and again this morning and Avast! would not let me in. I did get in via the Badge-Hunter.com link though. Oh sorry to hear Beefcafe is having troubles I hope he gets though them soon.

I just logged in fine.

Until Beef Cake can confirm the status of the site, I would be cautious about visiting it. Make sure you have up-to-date Internet security software.  Norton IS 2013 gives me the following warning:

"Web Attack: Mass Injection Website"

"Network traffic from www.badge-hunter.com/ matches the signature of a known attack. The attack was resulted from \DEVICE\HARDDISKVOLUME1\PROGRAM FILES\INTERNET EXPLORER\IEXPLORE.EXE."

NecrotechMaster

thats sad to hear, although i mostly stopped using badgehunter for badge tracking once the titans sentinel program came out

i sitll really loved the map packs though, i guess if all else fails they could be hosted from the titans servers

To bad Beefcake is AWOL. I'd be more than happy to host the stuff but I'd need permission.

And nothing has attempted to install on my machine or anything else weird when I went to the site. It operated as it always does. Of course it might be targeting Internet Explorer which I'm not running. Was it a specific page that it is appearing? With permission I can mirror static pages but the dynamic stuff is a horse of another color.

Are there any other sources for the maps?  Even printable ones would be good.
