Trying to silence us...

So I just went to NCsoft's Facebook page and find out that they deleted every single post by anyone all the way back to September and disabled posting entirely by anyone that isn't them. They also disabled posting on the City of Heroes Facebook page.

Another sign of forcing silence on the issue.

Actually, minor correction, it redirected me to the English "NCsoft Games" page where posting is disabled. I don't know how long ago that was. Can still post on the Korean page though.

Well, the NCSoft games page for English is effectively silencing 'everyone else' in America/Canada/English Speaking and probably europe, as its my understanding the set fire to Europe quite some time ago.   So that's more then just us, really.    Probably more of their realigning company focus, right?

Small things like that certainly aren't going to have much of an effect.  Just another thing we can say NCSoft has done to us.

Assuming nothing or not much posted there were, not sure of the proper word, but you know when that angry person on facebook insist on making "angry" postings to your page and you delete them? Yea, hopefully none of the stuff was that type of stuff and then it may be another sign they are trying to ignore us for the heck of it.

I just hope a few nutcases didnt give them a valid reason for doing so as they may be doing much harm than good to this cause. Remember you can have 100 positive folk out of a group talking to you but people tend to remember and judge the entire group by those few knuckleheads in that group.

And this should surprise you how?
I will go down with this ship.  I won't put my hands up in surrender.  There will be no white flag above my door.  I'm in love, and always will be.  Dido

Uhm why wouldn't they disable posting?
With no resources being devoted to CoH any more - why should they devote someone to the facebook page to make sure people aren't spamming it etc etc.

Makes perfect business sense to me and has no smell of conspiracy.

I mean let's be real here - it's not like their FB page was being used for anything any more...and it's easier to stop posting from others instead of someone monitoring for real spam etc. Sometimes it's not a KILL COH conspiracy but rather a sensible business move.

There was a notice earlier in the week about this weekend's double XP, followed by a few dozen "what's the point?" replies. I forget what day, though.
I wouldn't use the word "replace," but there's no word for "take over for you and make everything better almost immediately," so we just say "replace."

hmmm. interesting perspective.

If a product is being discontinued it is usual practice to remove the social media and website stuff with it.

hmmm makes sense.

i would figure they would keep the page up till at least the game is shut down, like they are doing with the forums and the website

they are shutting down the social media outlets early so we dont keep flaming them

the thought of shutting it down as a business decision isnt exactly a bad thought, but i still think they would have waited until the game officially shut down before closing down everything else related to CoH
