Burnt Toast

Read the article on Dealspawn and there is a BIG error in it:

Despite NCsoft recently reiterating their intention to close City Of Heroes on November 30th, the dedicated fan campaign to save the venerable MMO hasn't given up yet. After managing to attract celebrity support and over half a million petition signatures, the Save Paragon City initiative plans to 'increase the pressure' on the publisher, and imply that perhaps NCsoft isn't putting much effort into finding their virtual home a new home of its own.

Underlined the erroneous part: OOPS! We are currently at 20,636 signatures not even close to 500,000+ LOL!

I saw that, too, but didn't know who to point it out to.

Either way, I tossed a comment their way. It's in moderation at the moment, hopefully it gets either posted or corrected.

Sooooo is that a good thing or a bad thing?

Segev

Bad, because leaving it gives a false impression of exaggeration while retracting it makes the real number seem less impressive by comparison. There is little we can do about it, however, other than strive to make it accurate, anyway.

If others have some idea how we can spin it to a positive without going in any way "red side" on it, please speak up. It's not any deliberate malice from anybody, so there likely IS something that can be done to "fix" it.

Maybe someone can leave a nice comment about the error and give correct information in that comment for now until we figure out the rest?

Prexx

It looks like the error has been corrected.
