I thought it might be useful if we had a compiled list of reasons why City of Heroes is awesome and should be continued. Help?

Brian Clayton's 2011 announcement of COH: Freedoom was helpful.

QuoteWhat do I mean from a position of strength?

•   We are the world's most popular super heroic MMO having sold millions of copies of City of Heroes and we've won numerous awards from the media and our fans (also not to be forgotten, one from Guinness Book of World Records).
•   We've innovated in ways that have set the standard for other MMOs (character customization, Sidekicking, badge systems) and in ways that others haven't been able to match (the 375,000 Mission Architect pieces of content designed by you, our fans).
•   We also have one of the highest retention rates and most dedicated fan bases in the industry with no signs of slowing down.

With all the momentum that still surrounds the game, we wanted to make sure that City of Heroes Freedom continues to set standards, just as it has for the comic book inspired MMO genre.

It would be nice if we could quantify some of the above claims.

Here are the four World Records that City of Heroes set:

"First Superhero Based Massive Multiplayer Online Game"
"First Evil MMORPG Expansion"
"First MMORPG To Use Adapative Difficulty"
"First MMORPG To Use a Mentoring System"

We managed to solicit 20,000 signatures to SaveCOH in a world where most people don't even check the forums.

Atlas Park 33.

Do we have a count on the number of articles in ParagonWiki?
The home page of ParagonWiki: "This page has been accessed 3,931,556 times."
Titan Network forums has 21,530 members.

These things point to a vibrant and thriving game. Not one that was circling the drain and about to die.

What else do we have?
