Can anyone confirm?

I keep hearing that using codes for box sets that I haven't applied to my account already will get me VIP access to the game....and yet I keep hearing that it doesn't work.  Does anyone have any kind of confirmation?  If I go and buy the Architect Edition, which I've never applied to my account, will I be able to play as VIP?

Again, no Red Names in a Direct Response, but it's generally being interpreted that there is now absolutely no way to apply codes, etc to achieve VIP. I get a box in the mail Mon/Tue so I'll be able to give a definitive myself at that point, but from what's being said I'm only minimalistically hopeful that it'll succeed.

It has been confirmed repeatedly on the forums by a bunch of disparate people that all their box codes have expired.

Ah dang.  That's what I thought, someone just told me they heard otherwise so I figured I'd check again.  Thanks for the answer.
