The Negativity you'll find.

I just wanted to post this so people can remember that a lot of people who post negative blogs about what we are trying to do here are more than likely misinformed, under the wrong impression or as the latest slang applies: Trolls.

It could be righteous indignation on both ends.  The fact is a lot of people will post something without really thinking about it or doing research.  I'd say to be polite in regards to explaining the "why we feel the way we do".  Sometimes the greatest way to put someone down is with a nice calm and very informed reply.  It's easy to get heated over something you care about and you know what? It only satisfies the intent of the blog/article really.

We don't know what the outcome will be until something is said.  There is still a lot of time between now and November 30th.  A lot can happen so keep your chin up.  If you've moved on, then so be it.  Everyone deals with things differently.

I've found myself looking through various blogs and articles and have found myself shaking my fist a few times.  I think I've thrown a few crocs around my room because I believed people to be too naive.   And that's what they are, naive.

I know I don't post here a lot but I wanted to start an up-building thread and also to remind everyone that people, whether it be in the CoH community or not are not always informed or up-to-date.  Don't be TOO quick to tear them a new one unless they are purposely being stupid... then they are just not worth your time.

Other than that, I think the efforts here are wonderful and I'll do what I can.

Gothica

A poem by Edgar Guest:

Somebody said that it couldn't be done,
     But, he with a chuckle replied
That "maybe it couldn't," but he would be one
     Who wouldn't say so till he'd tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
     On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
     That couldn't be done, and he did it.

Somebody scoffed: "Oh, you'll never do that;
     At least no one has done it";
But he took off his coat and he took off his hat,
     And the first thing we knew he'd begun it.
With a lift of his chin and a bit of a grin,
     Without any doubting or quiddit,
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
     That couldn't be done, and he did it.

There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done,
     There are thousands to prophesy failure;
There are thousands to point out to you one by one,
     The dangers that wait to assail you.
But just buckle it in with a bit of a grin,
     Just take off your coat and go to it;
Just start to sing as you tackle the thing
     That "couldn't be done," and you'll do it.

Another thing that goes along with the subject is often times, people misunderstand a message and it's meaning because it's not face to face.  It's hard to look at a message that's meant to be a light opinion but has some hefty words.  People sometimes think that this person must be angry because there's no voice or face to let them understand that it was meant to be light.  I'm guilty of this (heh ^^;; ).

Thank you Tony for all your hard work and I'll do what I can to help.  I'm mediocre at best and I don't have a lot of money to spare but I'll give what I can.

Trying to be optimistic during this time when we see the numbers that were released from sales is hard.  But this only goes in two directions; the direction of yes and the direction of the axe.

I must say all of you have been very informative and optimistic (perhaps a bit more than me) so lets do what we can!

(I need to go home... typing while enduring a migraine is hard xD ))
