Find a task or a project you think you might be able to help with. If you don't think anything on the stove right now needs your special skills, perhaps you could act as a goodwill ambassador to the internet at large by thanking media for their coverage and commenting and sharing appropriate articles with people that you think would be interested? Think outside the box and ask: would <media channel x> be interested in a human interest story about cyberculture? Then, spend some time writing a tip to them. Have someone else proofread it if you're not sure about it. Send the tip along. Cold-"call" a famous person that might be interested--send them the iReport link, or a link to a press release.
We need one big nail for our media campaign now, from where I stand. Until we get it, comments and upvotes will keep our story in the public eye.
