Lol, so true :D posted on the official forum for the greater amusement. Aptly (i hope) in the AP33 thread

On dimmer news... my video (Save City of Zero Wing) didn't pick up the pace I expected it to have. I'm sorry for that, I failed. Still was a good time though. Time for a revenge :D

I'm working on two motivational videos, one very meme-like that will have to wait, the other one more traditional (epic music and footage) that could break out early, I don't know.

Thanks again for the encouraging words, especially TonyV that, I think, did eat too much tabasco or something the day he wrote the post here :P

If even one person was amused by it, I'd say it was a success.  Even some of the developers and the official CoH feed were linking it on Twitter.

Haha, that's awesome.  The whole MMO-Killer thing had me thinking of the Bene Gesserit prayer, and I think you hit it right on.  :)  Maybe not mainstream enough to catch on, but certainly funny to us Sci-Fi nerds.

I like it. One of my friends, who has some sort of degree in something called "literature" and apparently read quite a bit in college, suggests the following to bring the cadence closer to the original:

Friend of mine in-game (who doesn't yet have an account here - I DID suggest he get one.) had this idea:

"New meme idea... since I'm not especially artistically talented:  a duck type shooting gallery (The NCSoft MMO shooting gallery?) with all of NCSoft's game titles past & present on the ducks instead of targets.  Put a bullet-holes in the heads of the 5 they've killed and leave the cross-hairs near GW2 or Wildstar to imply they could be next if they don't perform."

Important - would have to make sure it's understood that the shooter is NCSoft, not anyone else. DEFINITELY not us!

um, the castle picture meme works fine for the internet but it's hard to hold it up in real life conversation.

how about a physical meme to go with it, something like;

Hero pose + 2 finger salute (with something for a cape gets extra credit)

Here are some new meme pics for people to work with. All credit to Turjan for creating these.

The monster used to represent the GameKiller is a Korean version of Godzilla called Yongary. He also used a monster from the Korean horror film The Host in the Auto Assault pic, but mostly it's the more risible Yongary. Atop his head is a bandana - a Guild Wars bandana, to which is added the NCSoft logo. And by referencing all of NCSoft's murdered MMOs, he's used the old classic ploy of repetition across several images to reinforce a single concept (including multiple uses of the word 'world').

Like them. Share them. Download them. Repost them. etc.

The torch vigil is a wonderful symbol, especially to us, but I really like what Turjan has done. The pics he made are relevant to people outside of our SaveCOH campaign because they label NCsoft as the 'Game Killer'. I think the intention of the 'Game Killer' meme is to direct negative attention to NCsoft. While they don't necessarily shine a light directly on SaveCOH, I hope that they can be shared and seen by many gamers, getting the word out that NCsoft is a game publisher with questionable practices.

That being said, I would love to see a torch meme out there as well.

I'm sorry Samuraiko, I've got no artistic talent about drawing, especially comic drawings. I've got a wonderful image of what you would like, but I can't produce more than thought.

I just remembered I did something though once... It was for a supergroup logo or banner, to get "traffic" in... let me dig it up...

Edit: here, cover the eyes of the little ones.

It's unfinished, and I lost the svg file in hard drive crash.
