I keep thinking of the line in Taken when he's taking to his Daughter's Kidnapper. But for NCsoft
".... We don't have much. But what we do have are a very particular set of skills. Skills that we have acquired over many Chats and Forums.
Skills that make us a PR threat for Companies like you.
If you Sell or release the City of Heroes IP, that'll be the end of it. We will not harass you, we will not bother you. But if you don't... We will release the unicorns."
I believe the original quote was "nightmare" for the bolded word above. I think we should use that, because "PR nightmare" is an easy-flowing phrase in modern business lexicon.
While we can't use the original's end line of "We will kill you," I think we need to find something equally pithy. "release the trolls" is just too many extra syllables and breaks the rhythm. Even when the unfiltered-by-this-forum version would be two syllables shorter. "We will troll you" would be
better for matching the cadence, but is less...ominous. I'm not coming up with a good suggestion, though, unfortunately.
Kudos on the adaptation first draft. Just trying to offer critique; I likely wouldn't have come up with the original idea despite thinking that is one of the finest badass quotes in modern moviewriting.
