Facebook Profile URL not accepting full-stop

When editing my Faces profile page I noticed (after saving) that the Facebook URL doesn't accept full-stops.
This is a problem as my (and maybe others as well) Facebook URL has a full-stop. i.e.: www.facebook.com/dennis.funkydrum

Can this be changed?

Full Stop = Period?  I guess I just learned something... I have never heard it called that before.

I had no idea... that was my point?  I thought he meant like a 'return' or some other ASCII mark I had never heard of.  Obviously, it was far simpler than I thought.

Also, HA at the archaic verbiage there... Hammertime indeed.

I just fixed validation to properly accept alphanumeric characters and the full-stop/period. (Facebook doesn't allow the underscore, which we were previously accepting, so we no longer accept that.)

I learned a bit, but only for the sake of pure curiosity.  Never used it for anything.  (Also one-time scout.)

Heh, I have a project from HS/College that consisted of encoding/decoding messages into Morse Code (in C/C++).

Nah.  I turned 18 and became an Assistant Scout Master.

But that was almost 2 decades ago...
